Ben, I agree with you 110%. If you ever dl'ed their free minutes then decide you don't want it, they'll call your house 100 times a day trying to talk you into keeping AOL..Plus they offer more free hours.. You don't have to have AOL to use their AOL's IM though..and even if it's dl'ed on your computer they will not call you trying to talk you into joining. BTW, I wasn't trying to talk u into getting AOL, just describing MSN's IM and how close it was to AOL's. To be honest I don't want either IM's..Toni

Her email is not being rejected as Spam. What I tried to explain was the possibility that her Internet provider is allowing someone to send out Spam. If that is the case and SORBS are involved they would send the offending ISP a warning, if they heed the warning and close the spammer down all is well. However if they are tardy and fail to act then SORBS acts as an intermediary and blocks everything leaving that particular server. An internet provider can have numerous servers and if only one is involved in Spam then only that one gets blocked. That is why I asked if every email gets blocked or some. So.......... why not try this When the email is returned to the other person what is the reason given? Is it every piece or most of them getting returned? Have your friend right click on the returned message then click Properties, then Details then Message source. Bring this up to full screen and read down through the message. It seems likely that your server is allowing Spam to go out so her internet provider is blocking that server entirely. Look for the word SORBS - it may also be other companies but SORBS are big into this. Until that happens you are not going to know very much for sure.

Just browsing around tonight and noticed there were computer forums here. I use AOL thought I would tell you it can be done as I have tried this and it works fine. Read the link I posted and it will tell you what program to download. It's for gmail but when you install it you will have the option to pick AOL from the list. and that's it. Then when you are online and click somewhere to email a site it will bring up a filled in AOL mail form from aol.com. I am guessing though you have to make sure you leave aol.com logged in all the time and do not sign out. I was helping someone once make yahoo.com the default mail in firefox by using the malto code or what ever it is and stumbled upon this so thought I would try it and file it away for reference in case someone needed to know that.
