Windows XP and HTML

I have a new Windows XP. I used notepad for my HTML needs with my Windows 98.
I would like to know if anyone uses Microsoft Word in Windows XP for your HTML needs. If you do....any sugggestions/help or what ever?

It makes very bad HTML ... full of non-standard codes, and it's hard to edit later.

I use Mozilla's editor (mozilla.org) and sometimes edit by hand. http://sitepalace.com/lazygardens/ was made with mostly mozilla.

lazygardens............i just read the mozilla.org Editor page and I think I need more schooling to understand some of the terms used.
