Here's a few shots I took this morning. Don't get your hopes up; nothing's really getting started much yet: Golden Rose of China- bought these as literal 'sticks' on eBay 3 years ago, and this is their first year blooming...what a 1st year show! They are about 3'h x 2': This is the row of them. Planted to hide the roof of the building in front of us (our house is to the right up the hill.) Some of the bushes had to be replaced after getting mowed down, so they are only 2nd year 'sticks.' A little container of Persian Shield that I decided to try this year. Don't mind the duct tape over the hole in the planter... Iberis- Perennial Candytuft. This is it's um...4th season, I think. Bought as a little pint-container plant. DS picked this one out. It's about 2' x 8" high. The hosta bed...looking a little better with a few new additions this year. New additions for the hosta bed later today: Heuchera Marmalade and H. Fragrant Bouquet I think I might actually get poppies!!!! Finally got this bed all weeded, and there's really poppies in there! How exciting! (Raised bed because the leach field is under this area) Thai Silk Poppies in two of these barrels. Positioned in the traditional 'guarding the driveway' spots: Wintersown Cosmos, snapdragons & Zinnias with a couple purchased violas And the smaller bed that abutts it (new daylily bed down on the front): A slow-getting-started Pork-Chop Bed: And a small bed that surrounds the inlet to the culvert under the driveway. Transplanted paperwhites that I found behind my mother's barn...first year to bloom, and a couple of cranesbills, iris, and looks like too much grass....

Thanks sassy for the frog pics. I just love them. I found a new site lately for picture storage and I think I may set up an account with them as you can make your own web address off of their site as well or so I've heard. flickr.com is the site ever hear of it. If anyone is really into taking pictures, like I am with my digital camera this would be a site for you to explore into. You can search numerous picture subjects and wow, what results all has there to share with the public. Some photos that I never thought I would have taken an interest into using as a subject has caught my eye and peaked my interest enough to say, wow, I'm gonna try that. Well worth your time to check it out and see what ya think,anyway. Just search whatever comes to your mind on what you would like to see and walllahhh, it's there in all forms. Beth, Hope your dog doesn't butcher up your lovely plants to much. I guess choppin them up with the tail is better than ingesting the foliage though. Better that end than the latter,huh or you could really have a mess on your hands. Do you have any begonias in your indoors collection, a couple kinda looked like it but I can't really tell as I'm just starting to get into the houseplants again. When my kiddies were wee little ones I gave up my houseplants for their safety but now that they're nearing graduation I felt, huh, I think it's safe now. I got a begonia plant from a garage sale and the leaves are gorgeous but I'm not sure exactly what window I should be putting it into. At the moment its in a north facing window, should it be in a south defused lighted window. Susie, did you run out and make snow angels or catch a few snow flakes with your tongue? Remember doing that as a child? Gotta keep the child spirit in all of us alive by nourishing it. May take a we bit longer to get up and down from making snow angels but just as fun as the very first time. I love all the photos everyone is contributing, this is so much fun. Part of the problem that I see is that you are not using thumbnails for the clickable images -- you're just making the images display in a smaller space so that the full images are loading when the page loads. Create small thumbnail images of the flowers that you click on to get a bigger image -- that will substantially reduce the size of your overall page. Consider optimizing your images as well -- you can substantially reduce the size of them by using a program like Macromedia Fireworks, or if that's not available, then you can do it for a small fee through this site: http://www.spinwave.com/crunchers.html Recognize that you trade quality for lower file size, so what's best is that you find a happy medium in which quality is only minimally affected, but for the largest gain in lower file size. I agree with the earlier poster -- you've got way too much on a single page. You're inundating the user with so much info that it's overwhelming. Find a way to better organize the data so it's not all on one page. Also, no offense -- but it's obvious that whoever is doing your graphics needs some help. The text graphics have very jagged and unclean edges, and some of the pictures of the people in the board of directors are very poor quality or weirdly stretched. If having a clean, well-designed appearance is important to you, then you may want to consider hiring a professional web-designer. Your site contains a lot of info, but it's currently very amateurish looking.

MaryAnn, Thanks for your response. This is my first rodeo and getting my page uploaded is giving me a whipping. Yes, I used your Netscape and find that it is very user friendly. But I used WS FTP to upload. I attempted to publish with Netscape, but nothing happened...machine just sat idle for 3 hours. Will try publishing with Netscape again if you think that will give me a better result. Things look good after I edit my page in c://; but when I upload the page into http//, my changes are not taking effect. (And, to make sure all the pix were uploaded, I copied the folder to the upload folder.) I would post a link, but the page is not nearly ready for the critics. It's just a little site with pictures of my family...just meant for keeping my family connected. Any help will be much appreciated. Patsy
