Thanks, Sara and OC. I've got a few others I came across that I may post later. Dighappy, we have an HP Photosmart camera, and we generally just let Windows do the picture and clip transferring from the camera to the PC. I did some work with my clips in Windows Movie Maker. Fiddled with them a bit to get them to a manageable size. You can split big clips into two or probably three smaller ones, and also adjust the settings when you save it. Takes a little messing around, but it's not real hard to get the hang of. I transfer the clips to the web space I have courtesy of our ISP using an FTP program.

Check the requirements, and ask your ISP (rackspace.com? laughingsquid.net?) if they allow it or will load it up for you. It's a decent program, but like any server-based freeware, not exactly easy to get going. Core requirements: * A web server with permissions that allow you to run custom CGI scripts * Perl, version 5.004_04 or greater, configured for your web server * An FTP program to upload the necessary files to your web server * Any standard web browser on Windows, Mac OS, or Unix/Linux with J/*ava*script and cookies enabled * Support for the DB_File Perl (Berkeley DB) module OR the MySQL database & DBD::mysql

This is happening when you are trying to connect to the web server, Correct? If so then check your settings that you put in to access the server. Maybe they use a different port to transfer with. When i was using FP 98 i made a shortcut to the editor and bypassed the rest of the program. Since i use a FTP program(Leap FTP)i did not need the rest of FP. FP 2000 is much more integratedand does not have the problems that FP 98 does . JamesS
