How can I refresh my website after I make changes to it? Seems I have a cache or something that makes it load faster. I have a lot of images and am trying to optimize them and upload back to website but the old images are still there.

Delete your Temporary Internet Files before you refresh and that should take care of it. In IE go to tools internet options to delete these files.

Even better, go to Tools, Internet Options, and on the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click on the Settings button, then choose the "Every visit to the page" option.

You will now always see a new page when refreshing or visiting -- nothing in cache.

The label says it has 512 MB of memory. I'm not sure which memory this is referring to, but if it is the RAM on the motherboard, it could use an upgrade. Windows XP likes to have 2 Gigabyte (2 GB) or more. You are using a wireless router on a DSL sevice. Make sure that your wireless router is secured so that someone else within range can't horn in and ride piggyback on your connection for free. The more computers using the connection, the slower it gets for any one computer. The next potential bottle neck is the DSL service. If this is over a phone line, it may not be a large jump in speed over a standard dial-up service. A good connection does have marked improvement in speed, but a troublesome connection looses much speed advantge. Consider taking the computer to a shop or friend and try on their lines. Another problem, if over a phone line, is a noisy line. Thw phone company can test your phone line for quality. Make sure that you tell the technicam that this line will be used for internet service. If over a phone line, another bottleneck can be the phone company. It may not have installed equipemnt capable of high speed data transfer. If you have a friend who has a high speed cable connection with a wireless router, you may want to try your computer on his connection. Have the computer checked out at a computer shop to discover if it is the computer or the DSL service to your house.

My handyman, Sean Dyar “screwed” (sorry for the language) me out of $3,000. Long story but I want everyone to know. He lives in Canterbury Courts in Carrollton, TX. He is a proud dad of 3 & enjoys everyday like it is his last. He is known as Sean, the main Grunt & passed out flyers in my neighborhood. He did some smaller handyman things for me & it was great. Then he suggested I paint the exterior of my house. I took his advice & paid him $1500 to start. Then he complained that he needed Hernia surgery & bc he was a friend now & met my children, I felt sorry for him & paid him the entire $3000 he quoted for the job. I have waiting since April 2021. His Fiancé, Beverly even called me (no caller ID) & asked if he & I were having “relations” bc she couldn’t believe I paid him in advance for the job. (Never, never). I was not interested in him that way. NEVER.......Yuck. Shame on me for being a nice person trying to help their fellow man. Because I paid him “cash”, I have no way to retaliate or sue him. Super stupid on my part, I know so.... I just don’t want anyone else to be taken advantage of like he “screwed” me. TMI & I shouldn’t post, but I have to bc he took advantage of me in such a bad way, I have to do something...... What comes around, goes a around. He will receive his in another way. No, it's not because of the Supreme Court, unless you're talking about regulatory classifications, which is not what we're talking about. As the article you linked to itself points out: "The court unanimously decided that the scientific classification of a tomato doesn't change common language", i.e., common usage and consideration of the tomato had already squarely put it in the vegetable camp long before any kerfuffles about tariffs came up. So it's more like the Supreme Court ruled that it's a vegetable for the purposes of classification for taxation because that's the culinary purpose most people were putting it to, despite its obvious botanical classification as a fruit. If people had been eating it like a fruit for all those years, nobody would have had a basis to petition that it be considered a vegetable, and the Court would have had no basis to declare it a vegetable. Let's not confuse cause and effect.

I have done that but the images stay the same.

This is what I have done

1. Went to Tools Options and deleted every thing that looked like I could. Cookies - temp files ect

2. Went to my host and even deleted some image files - But they are still there

I am wondering if my host server has a cache that is holding my old images?

Thanks for what ever help you can.

Oh - Some times a few days later I have noticed from before the will change.

Did you set your browser to reload on "every visit to the page" (as I mentioned above)?

Yes I did. still the same. After two days it finally gave me the changes. Strange - but true.

If it's an IE cache problem, holding down CTRL while hitting refresh will force a reload of the page. I think Netscape uses SHIFT refresh, but it's been a while and I can't remember off-hand.

Also, make sure the date and time (and time zone!) on your computer is set correctly. If your date is wrong, then when the browser looks at the last updated date for various requests, it may not think that the content has been updated if your clock is wrong...
