Wall Mounting a Plasma TV

Posted by christineny (My Page) on

I am buying my DH a plasma tv for his 50th b-day. He is really excited and I am not. My den is not set up for a large television. There is no ideal wall for such a large tv. One option I have is to mount it to the wall and swivel it out when in use. Has anyone mounted their tv to the wall? Any pictures to show? Any tips, advice? Thanks..

I found a really nice wall mount at Costco, under $100, will accomodate up to 50" plasma. It took me and my dtr about an hour to get it properly set up and installed. Instructions in box were sufficient. It will not swivel 'out' though, just up and down a bit. IIRC they had another one for smaller tvs that did swivel.

There are two reputable companies that I've used for projection and wall mount TVs: Peerless and Chief. Both can be found on the web (Google) and will include threads to web retailers.
