RE: System in new home

I had the framers make a 'box' set in the wall where the TV would go and I put 2 pieces of 2" PVC pipe from the box to the attic. Made it much easier to get wire up to the attic later. As time passes, your need for wiring will change...any wires you pull now will probably be obsolete down the road. The conduit to the attic is what you need....Most remote speakers will be ceiling mounted so there is much less need to get wiring down into the other room's walls. Of course if you are installing a intercom system, pull wires for that now. Another good trick is to take many pictures of the framing before the sheetrock goes up. You can refer to them later for help snaking wires down wall cavities later. That also helps when you are putting up curtain hardware. Good luck on your new house. BTW, in what area of the country are you building?

RE: System in new home
