Plasma TV Wall Mounting Height

My 50" plasma's bottom edge is 51" above the floor and dead center is 67" above the floor, which is OK when standing. My viewing couch is 14-15' away. I think I need to go lower on the TV. What height are your plasmas?

RE: Plasma TV Wall Mounting Height

Thats way too high. The THX spec for screens is your eye to be at 1/3 height of the screen.

Irrespective of where your couch is, your eyes are probably at 36" when you sit on the couch. Your plasma is about 24" high. This means the Plasma TV should be 36-(24/3)=36-8=28" off the floor.
