iPod Docking Station/Speaker

| I am looking for a docking station for an iPod Classic that comes with decent speakers and a REMOTE!
Bose looks and sounds wonderful - but at almost $300, it's beyond my poor little (almost non-existent) school budget. This is for school use. This year I bought the iPod, next year comes the docking station.
For right now, I'm using the Audio In jack on my shelf stereo unit. But that doesn't allow me to use a remote to control the iPod.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

| The other day I saw a white docking station looks pretty nice with a deal for $80, it has a remote control also. Maybe you can have a look at it. I have put the link below. |

Hi, If you are looking for a ipod docking station with good sound quality, simple, portable, and with other features would recommend you to visit minispeakers dot co dot uk, where you will find good option for your choice at less price. Off course sound quality and other features from Boss is great, but cost matters only. Thanks & :) |

| I have a yamaha docking station hooked up to my yamaha receiver in my one home and a sony docking station through my sony receiver in my other home. Both homes have surround sound, but the majority of your sound quality from your ipod depends on how you've downloaded your CD's onto itunes or from where you downloaded your music. I have a 160 gb classic ipod, downloaded all of my CD's through my mac with appleloss....yes, it took awhile. I rarely buy from the itunes store for playing in my home, the quality is too low...itunes downloads are mostly for just listening with earphones. Appleloss takes up more of my space on my ipod, but it's worth it because the quality is the same as the actual CD and you can hear all the different sound tracks through the speakers...excellent! |

| I have and like the JBL On Stage iD200. $150 or less, has remote, small, sounds great. Target has them on display where you can hear & compare them. Works with iPhones too. |

| If you have an amplifier already, better get a docking station that connects to the existing amp. I've seen 2 such models, check out the link below. Costs much less than the Bose and the great thing is that you can see the iPod playlists on the remote, so you don't need to get up. |
