Best Yeast infection cure..non prescription
Comments (19)I mention this because no one said it yet... If anyone is getting yeast infections often, there is a good chance your body's pH is off (usually way too acidic). You can get pH paper on amazon to check (you can get a roll for about 6 bucks), I think some homeopathic stores also sell the paper. Get a roll that is in the range of 3 to 8 and spit on a piece of the paper at a time when you haven't eaten in 2 hours (otherwise you'll be getting a false reading). It should be around 7 on a person with a good normal pH. If its crazy low, like 3 to 5, that is way too acidic. You're as tart as coca cola! To fix this, you will need to go on an alkalizing diet. It will take a long time, but it will fix the problem permanently when you get your pH back up (even just up to 6 will fix your troubles). You can search on google for alkalizing diet to get the specifics, but basically you eat very little to no meat, and cut out all sugar, and no alcohol, tea or coffee. Milk and eggs are fine to eat. After about a year of that diet you will be able to reintroduce some of the bad foods if you want because you will have gotten the Ph up a bit by then and you'll be okay. If you can't stand to not have meat, give up the sugar. If you can't stand to give up the sugar, give up the meat. Try to be reasonable - both of those (meat and sugar) are very acidifying, so unfortunately, if your pH is way too acidic, one of those groups will have to go for awhile if you want to be rid of this thing, so if you can't stand to give up either, just limit yourself and eat as little of them as you can....See MoreHome-made Shampoo for Dog with Yeast Infection on Skin
Comments (31)Hi Everyone~!! After reading all of the comment's on this thread I thought I would add our experience in hope's it will help someone. This happened several years ago with our 4 month old G.R. Murphy, we started noticing red rashes on his abdomen, after bathing him and trying simple things we took him in to our vet. We were told it was just a basic skin allergy that he had more than likely picked up from the Lake water and with medication and bathing it would clear up. It did not......after 2 year's of doing everything humanly possible to clear his skin including sending skin scraping's to U.C. Davis in Calif. , 3 different vet's, and a constant stream of extremely expensive medications, potion's and lotion's I intensified my research. I found an article that described everything Murphy was experiencing perfectly, I found a few more and all of them led to dog's being put down with no cure. Well I never give up so the one thing I found similar in every article was that it may be an internal parasite, so comparing all of the different medications came up with a list and started researching internal parasites and the medications that would kill them. After the process of elimination I found one Medication that neither I or any of the others had tried..........Interceptor. Unfortunately all of my research was lost with the computer I had done it on but the research paid off. I got the medication gave Murphy the chewy tablet and within 6 days his skin was beginning to clear, it is a once monthly treatment and by the 2nd. month all open sores had cleared, we were able to wein him off of all of the medications he was energetic and happy again. They have improved the medication and it is now called Interceptor Plus. Unfortunately all of the medications had taken a toll on Murphy's Liver and we lost him a year later. 6 years ago we brought a New Member of the Family home another G.R. , I had ordered the new Interceptor but it had not arrived yet and we saw the same rash..................................at that time they had stopped producing it while building a new plant so I was so desperate I had to order it from Australia told them the situation and they had it to my home within a week, gave Hunter his chewy and All is well. In closing I hope this info will help someone and remember Never Give Up~!!!!! Here is a link. Love to All. Jan. http://www.interceptorplus.com/...See Moreis it a yeast infection?
Comments (3)Well, it depends, honestly. It could be several things. Vaginitis, irritated vulva, a UTI could cause her to lick because of discomfort. Is she spayed? If not it could be heat related or an infection that needs attention ASAP. Does she have any discharge or redness? Smell your dogs feet, that might be the 'cheesy' smell. For some reason a lot of people will agree their dogs feet smell like doritos or corn chips. Although foul odors accompany many infections in dogs. Unfortunately because it can be one of several infections or conditions, I wouldn't think it would be a good idea to try and self treat this time. I would take her in to get her cleared of some of the more serious issues and treated. I typically don't like to run to the vet either, without letting something play it's self out for a bit, or look up any info I can - but in this case I would probably go in. If she's got a UTI it could spread if it goes untreated, or any crystals associated with it could quickly form into stones. Or if she's already got stones she could face a life-threatening blockage which requires emergency surgery. I don't know what the likely hood of it being serious VS non serious - but because dogs can't tell us exactly what the problem is and often don't show any major signs until it's serious, this is something I wouldn't play around with. Good luck! I hope it is something simple to cure and your furbaby feels better soon!...See MoreHow long for antibiotics to kick in?
Comments (9)Thanks everyone. Over the weekend he was at 90-95% of his old self so I was happy. But then late last night he threw up yellow foam. I have been watching his bathroom habits the last few days and I haven't been able to see him poop. I have 2 cats and a litter maid so it's hard (seperating them doesn't work well). I took him in this morning and they did x-rays and he's moderately constipated and he has some trapped gas. The decongestant that they gave him apparently sucks moisture out of mucus membranes so it may have caused it. He had an enema and an IV for some fluids as he was a little dehydrated. I got home and he was foaming at the mouth a little. I don't know what's up with that, guess he tasted something bad. He ran to the litter box then 15 minutes later he threw up his breakfast. The vet said the constipation probably caused the vomiting cause there's not a lot of room for things to go. I'll mention this latest vomiting when I call this afternoon. I forgot to ask if I'm supposed to start his medicine today, or if they gave him some already So I guess that's why he's been lethargic. Poor thing was all cramped up and probably didn't want to move much. Hopefully we'll get all this straightened out. I'm so glad I have pet insurance...I'm almost at $400 and she wants to see him again tomorrow if he doesn't poop more....See Morelittleonefb
