Has anyone had surgery for basal joint surgery? A friend of mine is suppose to have surgery and wanted to have some feedback on the surgery and if it worked. Thanks

It's in her thumb. She's suppose to have replacement surgery using her tendons to replace bones in her thumb. She wanted to know if anyone has had this surgery and if they were satisfied with the results.
