I'm going to try some of the Benefit product and also I believe I will go with the Rapidlash. The pencils/stencils/powders, etc. probably work fine with sparse/thin brows. But for those who are getting pretty bare, they don't look natural at all. I think the products with fibers would work. I looked into the tattoo method and those I saw who again were pretty bare - it also looked fake. I read up on Rograine on eyebrows before and was discouraged because people were having problems with hair growing above the brows too. Like too much of a good thing. tina

Plucked and groomed my eyebrows for years and years. Used an old soft toothbrush to brush them -- in both directions. Brush-Brush-Brush .... REALLY works! :) Use a variety of soft brown pencils to VERY lightly color the hairs -- which are now so light-gray-white that my brows appear invisible. Keep the pencils well sharpened -- and try just VERY lightly dragging the SIDE of the color tip along your brows. As a redhead -- my natural hair lost its own color in the early 1990s and I have been coloring it since then to ashy-shades of blonde. I read YEARS and YEARS ago (LOL!) that brows should extend to the outer corner of the eye -- and curve lightly. Does anyone remember the old tip about holding a regular pencil against the side of your nose to gauge to starting point of your brows -- and then holding the pencil at an angle from the side/bottom edge of your nose and to the end of your eye to gauge the end of the brow? And after years of observing brows on older gals -- I must agree with that tip!

My mother did hrt for 25 years with no side effects...until she got lung cancer. Oncologist said it was not smoking related. (Mom lived with smokers all her life but never smoked.) There is a lung cancer that has estrogen receptors just as breast cancer does. So while I was suspicious of hrt before, I'm now very anti hrt because of the cancer risk which seems to be under-discussed. Interesting impact on her hair though...it was always bone straight until she hit menopause and it started to curl. Once she went back on hrt, her hair went straight again... Here's a shot of me, post menopause....

Sorry, party-pooper here. I also have noticed thinning hair, but because of the side effects would not use rogaine type products. Vitamins biotin, B complex and c are great. Also gelatin and increased protein work without toxicity.
