food slicers

in our kitchens, food and vegetable slicers are important.

which are good to use ? flat or box or mandilins.

can some one suggest better quality and source.

are there hand tools to cut slices from potatos for wafer thin chips like fritos.

does any one have slicers made in forign country.

There are a lot of cooking forums on the Garden Web sites. You would probably get more hits on your post there than on the Health Forum.

I love my Cuisinart....with the 1 milimeter slicing disc....slices potatoes so thin you could read through them!
