No clue why they are charging us told the counselor 2 years ago we couldn't afford 3 kids in counseling every week... she said ...well the school has a fund for those who cannot pay I will look into it for you... asked a few more times nothing ever came of it ... but the bills came with out fail... Our insurance covers 26 visits per year they were going weekly. So it started off being $120 a month for counseling (co-pays) to $96 a visit. first bill after insurance didn't pay for counseling was over $500. Hubby called and asked for an as needed basis rather than mandatory weekly visits ... that was fine SS 12 went bi-weekly ss10 didn't go SD 9 went once a month if not bi-monthly... it got easier to pay ... mom pushed for them to go weekly after the judge ordered/changed visitation days ... she wanted them to discuss with the counselor how mad they were at their dad for lying to the judge about her. SD had another issue same one she has every year between thanksgiving and her birthday(middle of december).... the counselor gives birthday gifts but if you are not having problems you don't get to see the counselor so you don't get a present. So she has these little issues that only the counselor can help her with ... she met with the counselor 2 weeks before her birthday one time asked what the counselor was going to get her for her birthday counselor said oh I won't be here for your birthday the school is getting a new counselor. She hasn't seen any counselor since the first week of december. And is not having "that issue" anymore. Third year in a row ... :) miraculous cure right after her birthday.

Results: We did not get to have her with us Sunday overnight as part of our EOW. We did however get: The right to take her to the dr. or dentist The right to hard copies of the medical/dental/vision cards when BM take health insurance back in Feb (her open enrollment) BM covers ins. as well as 1st $250 in expenses. Everything else split 50/50. BM has to give 24 hours notice before taking her to any dr.'s and provide us with written results. They are now required to comminicate in writing. BM has to reimburse for past 4 months of medical expenses we paid out. We got extra time in the summer. We did not have to pay her legal fees. We still would have liked to only be responsible for dental/vision and not medical as he never agrees on the crazy tests she takes this child for without cause or symptoms. But I guess if we don't agree then we won't pay and she can take us to court and explain to the judge why she's taking a kid with NO symptoms to the allergist and subjecting her to tests and lying to the Dr. about the symptoms.

alisande -- If I were you, I'd go with the cheapest premium. Yes, you *could* pay that $320 deductible -- IF you are prescribed enough meds to reach that limit. (Even if you did, it's still less than your current Part D will be in 2015.) That Humana/Wal-Mart plan is offered here, too. DH and I will each breeze right through that deductible with our outrageously priced meds, regardless, so it may make sense for us too. Our 2014 WellCare Part D is going up from $20/mo. to $30/mo. I don't see keeping that if we can do better. Have you 'run the numbers' on Part D plans on www.medicare.gov Re:Deductibles. In 2012 and 2013 we had a Medicare Supplemental Plan F that paid for everything and the kitchen sink. For 2014 we took a Plan F- High Deductible ($2200/pp deductible) and are money ahead. We could afford to pay that $2200 each if necessary, but I have only had about $300 in out of pocket and DH less. We were still protected in the event of HUGE medical bills. Re: Filling prescriptions. We are fine with 90-day supplies from mail order on our maintenance meds. This year my cost for Advair was a third lower via mail order. (It's still a big rip-off, but that's because the US doesn't negotiate pricing with the pharmaceutical companies.)

I am now one month post-surgery! Wow, hard to believe. I had two PT sessions last week. I have 3 per week scheduled for the next three weeks. I'm also working on my own at home on the days I don't have PT. I'm keeping a log/journal. Mostly I'm just logging dates and times, but if there's anything of note, like my arm hurting or such, I note that, too. Yesterday, with help from DH, I put on a T shirt for the first time! It was so nice to wear a soft, stretchy shirt! This morning I put on a T shirt by myself. :) I see the doctor again on the 15th. My phys, therapist will give me a progress report for him. Hopefully he will be happy! Donna
