Thanks, still have to design and build/have built medicine cabinet and storage cabinet over toilet, paint edging for one edge of tile, redo window sill (too wide now that tile is up), paint door trim and door, install granite, faucet, sink, drawers and handles... Well, phoned CS this morning, she asked "Did you clean the walls first" (slight language barrier as think she must be French LOL), "of course" I replied. Thinking aha, that's probably what it was. DH installed glass when I was away, and I'm pretty darn sure he would NOT have cleaned it off before he applied the seal (comes with very high bond tape). So, not sure how we will address the seal on the stationary glass, we're thinking somehow heat it up (maybe with hair dryer) and try and reseal it... They will be sending out new seals via FedExpress (hopefully today), but DH wants to try using the heating up method to get these current ones to reseal, and keep the new ones as back-ups. They seem pretty securely fastened today... Dreaming, the bottom shelf is a piece of our granite 'Aran Creme', and the back is a stone mosaic, probably limestone or travertine marble. We will use the same mosaic as backsplash for the vanity along with matching marble pencil liners for edging, still have to decide how high to go...

We recently got the Kellet pads for our Bosch 2005 Premium washer, and they have made all of the difference in the world. Our w/d are situated in a first floor laundry alcove over a crawlspace and we had reenforced the lineoleum-covered hardwood with 3/4 inch plywood, and used spin levels no higher than 900, tilted the machine slightly backwards and releveled each leg, never filled the machine more than 3/4 full, and, shaking our heads, followed Bosch's advice after 5 service visits for vibration and actually used double-sided tape (I still can't believe that this was their solution...) Nothing markedly reduced the vibration and once a year, we landed up having to undo the slow walking that machine had done to get cozy with the dryer. I figured the investment of under $30 would be worth it for a try, and it definitely was. My service guy came out to see how they worked and didn't charge for installing them himself, and his company now is going to keep some in stock and recommend them for FL machines. The comment one poster made above seemingly outrageous shipping costs makes little sense to me- at Kellet's recommendation, I used UPS ground for about $8 (less than the price of gas if I were to be able to find them somewhere locally) and they arrived well within 48 hours of my pleasant phone call to them. They are a family-run company with exceptional customer service and I recommend them highly.

I have a Maytag Epic MFW9700SQ1, a sister machine to the WFW9200. Note the '1' after the SQ in my Epic's model number. The '1' represents some type of a revision in the way the machine is engineered. My Epic has the same problem as your Whirlpool with an extremely loose suspension that causes extreme wobbling whenever I try to wash anything. There's no way I would be able to wash anywhere near a load the size that's suggested in the Epic's User Manual. The only time my Epic spins smoothly is when there's nothing in it except water. I can shake the drum easily by hand when empty. When I have a load of laundry in the drum, it actually sinks about 1 1/2 inches. When ramping up and down for spinning, the drum assembly wobbles so badly that it hits the inner sides of the machine and also hits whatever is under the assembly - pump, etc. My Epic is level; that's been checked by a service tech and that's not the problem. It doesn't shake or walk (it's on a very sturdy floor) - just the horrible drum assembly wobbling. Maytag repair has replaced the springs, shocks, and electronic control board. None of these have made any difference at all. I had one service tech state that there was an unrepairable problem with the suspension and authorize a replacement. Maytag insisted on a 2nd opinion. The 2nd service tech claims that this is the way the Epic is supposed to work so there's nothing wrong with it. He did say that Maytag received complaints about vibration issues, so they redesigned these machines with a looser suspension. That's why the drum assembly wobbles so much. I don't know if he was just feeding me a line, or what. All I know is my Epic does not wash as much as it's supposed to, and my machine is getting a lot of wear from the drum assembly wobbling around and bouncing off of everything on the inside. Home Depot would not take it back. I bought an extended warranty. I'm going to use the extended warranty to charge up a small fortune in repair bills as I see fit, and run this Epic into the ground. And then, GOOD RIDDANCE!!! Am I disgusted? Heck, yeah!!! My Maytag Epic woes are linked below. BTW, I have an LG Steam Tromm 2487 in another home - it works like a dream! I'm kicking myself for buying the Maytag Epic. I wanted the Maytag brand to semi-match the Atlantis dryer which still works well. I'm wishing now that I'd bought a non-steam LG. so i called lowes and mentioned the scratch and they offered me 15% off or a new machine. i took the 15% off...i don't know if they could have even ordered another one for me but i def wasn't going through another delivery process just bec of a scratch on the machine. i'm very happy with the 15% off. then i called the 3rd party delivery co's guy i had been dealing with all along...(way back i asked abt compensation for the hassle from lowes they said its the delivery company's responsibility so at the time i asked this guy i was dealing with and he said he def would be giving me something.) so i called and asked for compensation he said he'll get back to me...that he has to speak to lowes etc so i mentioned that i got the 15% from lowes for the scratch bec i never mentioned the scratch to him so i didnt' want him to be confused. and told him that when i asked lowes abt compensation for the hassle they said the delivery co is responsible. anyway he called back and offered $75 in lowes gift cards. I tried saying its so little, i'm getting that much back for a scratch and this was a huge hassle and totally avoidable had the delivery guys not dumped the machine and ran...if they would've just read the instructions they could have done it properly, and then on top of it they lost the feet etc that it was not a mistake, it was laziness and negligence etc...but he still said all he can do was $75 so i said fine... lol so assuming the above comes through it will cost me $356! still would not want the hassle of the feet, not worth the aggravation but the scratch is prob worth it ;) on a side note, when i called the delivery guy i've been dealing with extensivley, i introduced myself saying "hi, i'm the lady with the rubber feet" haha
