Hyacinths usually start growing in autumn, develop foliage over the winter, flower in spring, and gradually die down by the end of spring - all charged up for the next growing season. If the ones you bought had already flowered at this time of the year they must have been forced well out of season and it may take a year or even two for them to 'reset their clocks'. If they still have green foliage then you could transplant them into two gallon buckets with at least three thumb-thick holes drilled in the bottom, parked on pot feet of some kind so the drainage is good. Just take the mix they came with and maybe add some slow release granules to the surface. Keep them watered while the leaves are firm and green. As the leaves yellow and go flabby ease back on the watering. If you get winter rain that will probably be sufficient. About using mix again. It depends. If it is dusty, hard to dig through with just your fingers, smells fungus-y, don't bother. Use it as mulch under bushes and let nature bring it back to life. If it still looks like the fresh mix from the bag - you can probably use it again provided you don't use it for bulbs and you do check it for unwanted life forms. Tip it out into a big basin or shallow trough and stir it around. You can add some slow release and fresh mix at this point. Particularly look for grubs. They're very partial to roots, unfortuntately. And, just wondering - if you're not 100% sure you bought Hyacinths - you might have bought Hippeastrums which aren't always seasonal about when they flower...

I have been using an estrogen gel for several months. It does help moisturize the vaginal tissues. I used it daily for I think a week, then cut back to a maintenance dose of once a week. I noticed a difference after a few weeks. The gel is a bit messy as it liquifies quicker than the cream, but I had a reaction to the cream. I get the gel from a compounding pharmacy. The gel doesn't tackle my other symptoms, the main one being hotflashes, so I take a low oral dose of estradiol daily. The only side effect is breast sensitivity(from the oral med), but I can live with that. I can't live with the hotflashes. I've been on HRT for several years. I tried many types of estrogen after trying natural remedies(and other meds)first with no success. I get my blood tests done regularly and take the lowest dose that stops my symptoms. I would go ahead and try the cream to see if it helps. Just pay attention to how your body reacts and let your doctor know how it's going.

A friend just told me you can make your own phyto-estrogen. You make a tincture with red clover that you pick, glycerin and some vodka. It is even good for your older - 8-9 year old pet dogs. It is rubbed on their gums where it is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream (and followed by a doggy treat of course). She recently treated her pet who was always tired and sleeping most of the time. Now the dog is acting like a puppy again! I can't wait for Spring to pick that clover. Doc just put me on a estrogen pill, and although doc says it is plant derived, the side effects so far are horrific, like a bad flu. So in answer to your question, I would suspect you can overdose on your estrogen. (I've just changed my dose to a 1/4 tablet a day and will see if I can work up to a higher dose). Hope this helps. Yes chisue,that is exactly what I am saying...however,keep in mind,I was in my 30's..not sure if that would make that much of a difference,but I had PMS and menopause on my side..hard to believe,but I went thru the both of them at the same time--for years..and the thinning vaginal walls was a real problem..the really good thing about that time was that the Old Lad(ex husband now) worked away for months at a time my gyno put me on that stuff..it worked..and I never had or have had any cancer scares or issues regarding the hormonal treatments I have had to have..good luck!
