I get mine from express scripts and pay 9.00 for a 3 month supply.I was totally surprised last month when they sent my refill for Femara,and it was free.Seems it went generic,so no charge.That's ok with me,i'll take free any day. Some of our meds we fill on the base,so no charge,but others they don't carry so it's express scripts or cvs. I really feel sorry for those that have high co-pays.I was at the oncologists one day and this older lady in front of me came in for her treatments and her co-pay was 277.00,i almost dropped my teeth:) I pay nothing for that either.Thank God DH was career military. kathi

Results: We did not get to have her with us Sunday overnight as part of our EOW. We did however get: The right to take her to the dr. or dentist The right to hard copies of the medical/dental/vision cards when BM take health insurance back in Feb (her open enrollment) BM covers ins. as well as 1st $250 in expenses. Everything else split 50/50. BM has to give 24 hours notice before taking her to any dr.'s and provide us with written results. They are now required to comminicate in writing. BM has to reimburse for past 4 months of medical expenses we paid out. We got extra time in the summer. We did not have to pay her legal fees. We still would have liked to only be responsible for dental/vision and not medical as he never agrees on the crazy tests she takes this child for without cause or symptoms. But I guess if we don't agree then we won't pay and she can take us to court and explain to the judge why she's taking a kid with NO symptoms to the allergist and subjecting her to tests and lying to the Dr. about the symptoms.

Did you look at the AARP plan? My mom and aunt had that one--up till last year, it was a lot less than what you're saying you're paying (I don't know about now), and mom and aunt rarely had to pay anything for their medical needs (I know once mom went to the eye dr. and ended up owing .50!--and the dr. asked for it, do you believe!). When Aunt had an ER visit/hospital stay/rehab stay because of a burst appendix--she paid only $100 for the ambulance ride between the hospital and rehab facility. Medicare and her AARP insurance picked up EVERYTHING else. You do need to speak with someone in your area, who understands insurance, and who is NOT trying to sell you anything. How about contacting your local senior advocacy center--they generally have knowlegeable people who can help you, or can direct you in the right direction to find someone. Good luck.

It's not just medical bills, insurance, credit card companies and collection agencies -- those are the symptoms. The disease is greed. Think how much better off the United States would be if real people (from this country) were employed to prepare your bill, answer the phone, resolve your problem? Instead, companies these days don't give a rat's behind about providing good customer service. Especially in the medical industry -- they don't have to. We're all trapped in a system that was sponsored by corporations, designed by think tanks and sold to your congressmen by lobbyists, wherein choice of provider has been stripped from us. Push One if you'd like to get screwed. Push Two if you'd like to get screwed further. Push Three if you'd like to complain about it ... but really, don't bother because the only threat you've got left is going out of network and in that case ... Push Four for a recommendation to a bankruptcy attorney. Sorry, that wasn't nice. Can you tell I'm a little sensitive about this? I've picked on the medical industry but it could be anything -- how about shoes? Remember when you went to the local shoe store? The guy who owned the place was likely the same person who chose the inventory, measured your feet, and rang up the sale on the cash register. He had a stake in providing you with a quality product and good service at an acceptable price. The shoes he (or she) sold were likely to have been made by someone in a factory right here in this country too -- not by a child refugee in a Turkish sweatshop. Somehow we decided both that corporations can be people and that they are not required to have a social conscience -- at all. As long as we keep the shareholders happy the rest of us can Push Five to listen to bad on hold music. They can't even be bothered to get that right these days.
