I'm a good baker. I can garden pretty well...at least I enjoy it a lot. I have a pretty good grip on athletic abilities.I am very strong and love a challenge. I would be a good friend...but don't have anyone right at the moment to practice on... I am speaking about local folks not the great people I consider friends here. I have a great color sense and decorate well in my own space. It takes me a long time to process what I want to do but then it looks wonderful when I am done. I have a really good sense of personal fashion and love to dress up even when it is just work out clothes I care how I look. I have great hair and skin and try to take care of it. I am an avid reader of women's history and biographies. I keep a very neat and clean house and personal space...no clutter for me anywhere. Have recently gotten even better. I think I am a good driver but my DH doesn't always...he can't drive and has never driven so that may be part of it. I think I am a good Mom now...I wasn't always...but that is for the other thread. I am a good wife and the best part of that is that after 41 years...Feb 8th...it keeps getting better and better. My family has always come first for me...sometimes I am over supportive according to others but for me I can't be too supportive or caring or loving of my "own". I'm a very hard worker when I decide to do something . I keep excellent financial records and make really good money decisions. I spend money on things that I want and I am very generous to my family for things that they want or need. I am not profligate but I also don't think there is any point in holding on to it since I can't take it with me. I am very adventurous...have had a lot of those and keep seeking out new ones. I used to be a very good RN and had a lot of faith in myself and my decisions. I graduated with a 4.0...no one in my school had ever done that before. People still call me for advice and listen when I offer it. I am surprised at this list. I hadn't posted since I really didn't think I had anything to offer...hm...guess I should go to the other thread now...since I have a lot that I could say on that one . I am so glad you started this thread. I have really learned a lot from everyone's posts. c I am a very good cook in a camping setting.

As a soon-to-be buyer, I would want some plain talk about what is and isn't realistic in my price range. Say it nicely, but say it. I have some friends who moved from a rural, low-price part of one state to near where I live-- a more urban/suburban area of my state. Their idea of what they ought to get for the money was seriously not in line with the market here. They couldn't help but contrast how much they paid for their rural house with what they were being asked to pay for less-nice houses here, and it was hard for them to accept that the market is what it is. They had me go along with them on a number of house-hunting expeditions, and I don't think their agent tried to set appropriate expectations. He just took them to places in their price range and let them struggle with convincing themselves of the realities. It took them a long time and a LOT of houses and a lot of very grumpy talk between them about the failings of each and every house they saw. If it were me, I would rather have an agent who at least tried to give me a realistic picture of what was and wasn't possible in the new area. To me, one of the main benefits of using an agent is targeting, and part of hitting the target means being pointed in the right direction in the first place. If I'm not facing the right way, I need the agent to say, "hello, that's not a target for you." It would save me time and aggravation.

I am another one whose taste has not changed, at all. I have spent the past few days since this query was put up wondering if I was being honest with myself. Surely something has changed over the years, but it hasn't. My horizons may have broadened, I may have seen more things, but the style I like is capacious and has always accommodated that kind of eclecticism. I have not pared down my aesthetic as many have. I was brought up in a family with very strict feelings about overcrowding surfaces and the need for space around beloved objects- my grandmother was more sparse than my mother, but neither could abide jumbles of things. I still have the art I bought as a young teenager at small exhibit at Rizzoli in NYC. I was very proud of my purchase. I love him as much now as I did then, maybe more for all the time he and I (it's a small portrait) have spent together. There are fashion items that enter my house and then leave eventually, I suppose. I had some very pastel/Miami Vice colored cereal bowls from Williams-Sonoma in grad school. I would not have those today- they are very late 80s early 90s and not in a Memphis kind of way. I could imagine picking something like those up again, but according to today's whims, like the ubiquitous bamboo handled cutlery I see on everyone's IG (turns out that flatware costs way more than I would spend on a fashion item, for me, but if it were cheaper, I might have gotten some.)

I am in zone 6, Canada. I have many hosta in containers. Most are dormant but some are not. We are experiencing a hard frost now for a few days. I have moved the nondormant hosta in more protective areas and some in an unheated shed. I am planning to put them back outside again when the daytime temperatures are above freezing. They should go dormant soon. As you are in zone 7b, you are in a much warmer zone. It is not OK to leave them in the shed now until spring if they are not fully dormant because they will continue to want to grow. Growth will be poor. They need to be dormant before you store them for the winter.
