Serotonin levels

Are tests available to determain the correct levels of
SEROTONIN in the brain.
Anti depressents stimulate,by raiseing Serotonin levels.
Anti anxiety drugs calm and sedate. does this mean the serotonin is lowered.
I suffer from severe anxiety and panic disorder,why am I
prescribed anti depressant stimulants.They send me around the twist.Why would you stimulate someone who is already overstimulated.
Succesful mental health research is being done in Australia,
abnormal protien levels have been found to be an explaination for bipolar and schizophrenia.

You should be asking your doctor this. If you don't get a satisfactory answer, get a second opinion from another doctor. Different medication give different results in different people. You may be one of those.
