| Hi all,
Awhile back I restarted using an exercise bike to help with my arthritic knees. I was doing great. But then I realized that the seat was causing a real problem with my sciatic nerve. It was so painful I quit using the bike. I just did a google search on bigger/softer bicycle seats and there are alot of them out there. I was wondering if any of you have tried them and which one you liked? I always made a joke that I needed a tractor seat on my exercise bike, and I guess they are really out there! Thanks for your help. |

| I have a Schwinn (?) exercise bike with a chair seat, low back and arms. It's not a recumbent bike; the front wheel is situated just as a real bike wheel would be. I had the same problem as you, and this bike with the chair seat has been great to "ride" on. |

| YES! There is a company called Derri-Air Bicycle Seats that makes an Exercise Bike Seat Adaptor that would allow you to put a bigger and wider standard bicycle seat on your exercise bike. They also have special bike seats available for people with medical problems. http://www.derri-air.com/exercise-bike-seats.htm You can buy a seat with an adaptor or the adaptor alone. Really helped. |

| Well, you can try looking for some on your directories. I mean look for some companies. Or should you look onto your local shops near you. I believe that local bike shops also offer the one that you need. |
