Weight Loss Diets can be causes for obesity?
Comments (1)Starvation diets and "yo yo" dieting can cause future problems, sensible weight loss programs(diet) such as weight watchers are safe ( IMHO)...See Moreobesity is contagious
Comments (20)Sueque vintage 67, Not sure - I've heard of the right and left divisions of one's brain ... ... but this upper and lower is largely news to me. We should try to learn something new every day, I've heard: maybe this is mine for today. Is this a separate brain, or just a division? If they are two separate brains, does one find disagreement between them, at times? Does the sitting tend to settle the alternate brain somewhat? Would you like to offer some more information on the subject? Maybe you could write a book on it! I've heard of some guys of whom it's been said that they appear to do at least a part of their thinking in a location proximate to the location of the second in your body ... but I don't claim any expertise in that matter. And - I'd better be careful, lest I jeopardize/(ruin?) my partially retreaded reputation with regard to the subject matter of my levity. Enjoy your day. ole joyful...See Moreobesity and anesthetic risk
Comments (4)Obesity, especially in an English Bulldog, definitely adds some risk to anesthesia. The extra fat compresses the chest which doesn't generally inflate very well under anesthesia anyway. Plus English Bulldogs in general have a cluster of respiratory problems that can cause issues especially after anesthesia. That said, any good vet knows the risks and can take easy steps to minimize the risks, assuming the vet has good monitoring for all procedures (pulseOx, EtCO2, RR, HR, temp, and great techs). I've definitely gotten many an English Bulldog through anesthesia procedures and I'd say 99% of them are fat. I don't think people know what they are supposed to look like. But paying attention to the patient at all times until the dog is completely awake definitely gets them through safely....See MoreBasement Wall Deterioration - causes, cure?
Comments (1)You have created a moisture trap between a damp foundation wall and the vapor barrier on the warm side of the insulation. Because of the moisture present you can't use untreated wood framing, porous insulation or regular drywall, they will simply disintegrate. You have to either eliminate the moisture coming through the wall or use non porous materials and treated wood. The vapor barrier is intended to avoid moisture in the room from reaching the cooler wall and condensing but there is already water there. Removing the vapor barrier would at least allow the wall to dry to the interior. Removing the insulation would be even better. Bottom line: you can't realistically cover a basement wall that leaks. There are contractors that specialize in waterproofing and insulating problem walls. Some are honest, some are not....See Moreeddym
