Raven, I still have the temporaries. I put off getting the permanent ones, and now I can't remember why. Then I wasn't happy with the perms, and even though I had signed off on them, they are making them over. There were a few little tweaks, and my knee surgery was coming up. I told the girl in the office to make my appointment any time, but I was having surgery around Feb. 10. So she called me the weekend before to say she had an appointment for me on Feb. 10th. I told her, I couldn't do it then....going in hospital. I told her I would get back with her once I got the PT schedules worked out. I have been going to PT twice a week, plus I fractured my arm....seeing one doctor for that, going back to see the knee doctor and my regular doctor and then the last two weeks I have just been absolutely worn out. The knee surgery left me anemic, so I had two units of blood and I haven't been able to bounce back. I understand this is common. Add to that, I have been unable to sleep for the past two weeks. I might get to sleep an hour...if that. So, I have been worn out. I told her yesterday I would call the first of the week and make an appointment. I think the all on four covers everything...including pulling teeth and I doubt if that would diminish the cost. It is pretty much a set price. Although insurance would probably cover that....I don't think it would make a difference in how much Brueggen charges. I could be wrong....but I think that is correct. I don't believe insurance covers any of it, as far as what Brueggen goes. I remember him saying on one of his videos that insurance doesn't cover it, but they have ways of financing it. I couldn't afford to finance it, and wouldn't have been able to have it done, but Jody got an insurance settlement from being hurt on the job, and that is where the money came from. I hate having my picture taken....but here is a picture that shows my teeth a little bit. I bent down to take a pic of me and my dog. Well.....at least I got the teeth in the pic.

This last January amidst several months of other health issues, I had a molar crown fall off. I experienced no pain from the tooth despite the fact that the tooth was exposed for over a week from the missing crown. Having just started a new job, I had to find a new dentist that was accepted by my dental policy. I went in and told the dentist that I just needed my old crown re-cemented on. The dentist said that would be a liability to him if the cement didn't hold and I choked on it so I agreed to a root canal and new crown. Ever since the root canal, the tooth has ached. I went back a month later and told the doctor that it hurts to eat, touch my face or brush my teeth. He said the tooth must have cracked and that I need an implant which involves four months without a tooth on that side of my mouth. And of course additional cost done by another dental specialist that I will have to absorb. I said no. I'm furious. Because I've been seeing a half a dozen doctors for my other health issues and having a number of test that require me to take time off from my new job, I have not been willing to take even more time off to go back to the dentist. He told me he would talk to the dentist who did the root canal and get back to me. Which he never did. I have an appointment with the dentist office for a cleaning next week and will have to deal with whatever the next step might be then. Jodi-

Somehow I imagine all sort of oral hygiene issues with a denture implant. Food invariably gets underneath the denture and only removal and cleaning will properly remove it. Are these at all removable? I am looking at a lower partial denture. I still have a few solid lower teeth left for the partial to be anchored to due to bone deterioration. Implants under those conditions are not advised, as per the problems Aprile's DH experienced. Not to mention that they are hugely expensive. Bad teeth are my only physical/health issue. Mostly inherited but partially due to poor care on my part (very bad early dental experiences). Every time I visit my dentist he says "here comes the shark lady" as I once made the comment to him why humans couldn't regenerate teeth like sharks do - lose one and another pops into place. Oh, I wish!!
