The Cholesterol meds aren't lowering your blood pressure. Your new regime of diet and exercise is what is lowering your blood pressure as well as your bad cholesterol. Just a word about blood pressure. Your blood pressure does not stay the same all day long. It fluxuates according to stress, anger, exercising, sleeping or resting and other factors in your everyday life. You have high blood pressure when your blood pressure is consistantly high over a long period. That is why doctors often do a 24 hour blood pressure test. Doctors are not as concerned over systolic reading--120,130, 140--as they are over the diastolic reading--78,80,85. The first reading is the heart pumping and the second is the heart at rest. High blood pressure is anything over 140/90 and optimal blood pressure is 120/80. I'd say don't obcess about your blood pressure. Just continue as you are doing and you soon won't need any pills. Mclarke, See? that was (and still is) my thinking too --- or at least how my mind's eye saw it should/shouldn't be. But taking into account all the replies (and they were all so right-on about it), I realized I was focusing too much on 'the look' and not what would be the best function for us. My plan when doing this bathroom: I'm not leaving this house without a toe-tag so I wanted everything as perfect for me as I could get it, for the long-term. This same height cab and wall is going to be very hard for this slightly (ha!) anal person to get used to! LOL Annie1971, Oh shoot---had I known, I would have saved all zillion white with pink speckled tiles for you! *g* Before joining this board, all those years with the pink tiles, I was brought up to 'match', to coordinate. So, all those years I went with a pink or mauve or burgundy bathroom. After joining this forum I learned how I could have worked 'with' that tile. I wish I had known about this forum years ago--would have saved me years of bathroom color boredom! And Mclark, I DO have very old, very pretty amber colored glass bottles. They remind me of pharmacy glass bottles. I'll dig them out of storage sometime this week and hopefully they will fit on the top shelf of the med cab. With the new, bigger window the light will reflect on the pretty amber color of the bottles. Great Idea - Thank you! You all were so helpful in making me focus on the function and other little points I hadn't thought about I figured I'll stick some pics in here to show you what we've done. As much as I'd like the cab to stay where it's at (held up with 2 screws so we could get the books out of there/out of the way so we could work on other things), function would be wrong so it's going up a couple inches. During the med. cab height dilemma, we also found the rounded front of the plywood countertop hindered me from getting close to the mirror. Countertop shape has been changed and I'm very pleased with that part. Again, all of you -- Thank you so very much!

Cholestrol is found mostly in meats. Do not eat them and your cholestrol levels will go down. Oils are not good for you and they are in meats, but they are also in many other things. Read lables or better yet don't buy anything in a box. I recently did this and after losing 10 pounds my cholestrol went down 49 points. I now eat meat twice a week only and use 'spray' oil if needed. A protein substitue is beans with a grain and nuts but nuts have high oil. Eat them sparingly. Find a health food store that has bulk items and find brown rice, whole barley. wheatberries, whole rye, and whole oats. Any of these with beans are a great protein. Eat veggies and fruits and no refined sugars or white flours. You will be thin and healthy and everyone will *hate* you for it!!! Make this a lifelong eating regime....you can do it. In her twisted mind there is nothing wrong with having them eat before they get to her house... And I don't have a problem packing them food to bring ... guess my point is she doesn't even appreciate it .. she demands/expects it. Its not the kids fault I have never blamed them it just sucks that we have to answer the questions. The money isn't that big of a deal its more a point because that is all she cares about is money if she had to pay $25.00 a week it would get under her skin. Our response to most of the questions is ... She's at work ask her when you see her. And when the kids ask about money we say do you have everything you "need" answer __ but I "want" when you have a job you can get what you want until then you get what you "need" but I "want" then "earn it". The bus stop is 3 houses away ... I check the mail at the same time the bus is coming so not to look like i am checking to see if she is there, but I am there if she isn't She doesn't sse anything wrong in what she does. I send notes back and forth with the kids and a calendar so she can write down the days and times she will pick them up. Its our communication journal. She called at 930 last night to talk to the kids (bedtime is 830) and to ask if she can change days and have it done by court order so she can be released from work ... if its a court order they can't schedule me on those days .. we were in court 2 weeks ago!! why didn't you ask then so now she got her reduction in child support on the grounds she would take the children more... now she wants to change visitation so she sees them less... I have told hubby i feel like a daycare worker ... I have the kids from 8 am to 5pm until a parent comes home or picks them up and they get dropped back off at 8 am. can it be put in court orders who ever has them at 9 12 and 6 must feed them breakfast lunch or dinner??
