| I've just been diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer which is the worst stage. The prognosis is doom and I'm only 58.
I used to smoke but I stopped 20 years ago so I thought I was in the clear. But I was wrong. My message is this: Even if you've stopped smoking, get regular chest x-rays, it may save your life! |

| So sorry to hear such bad news. But you are correct. Everyone should get regular lung Xrays. Not just for cancer, but other lung problems. We have just had a flare up of finding TB in one of the schools. An Xray would have showed the disease before it had a chance to infect others. The child involved seems to have contacted it from a relative. |
