eczema and acne

Hello,
I started getting eczema on my face 2 years ago and only during winter. We are now in winter and just a couple of days ago, I started using another eczema cream and I must say that it helped to reduce the redness and itchiness by a great deal. But since I started using that cream, I am getting pimples on my face that make me look uglier. I have not had pimples since long. I had acne when I was a teenager but I followed a treatment with a doctor and it got cured completely. I suspect that the eczema cream is the cause for the pimples but I’m not sure. The eczema cream says nothing about pimples and acne. Going to my doctor soon, but I would appreciate suggestions in the mean time. Has someone ever faced this problem?

Any oily type cream or lotion will increase the chance of acne. It clogs up the pores so that they can't 'drain' properly. Have you seen a dermitologist? You really should before you mess up your skin.

see a dermatologist....

Besides acne is the result of or aggravated by inflammation and fish oil has anti-inflammatory properties. Since pimple is the inflammation caused by bacteria, taking fish oil can help reduce the inflammation and lessen the severity of the pimples.

RE: eczema and acne

It sounds like you have a very difficult issue on your hands. As many have alluded to already there seems to be an abundance of methods to tackle eczema with some more fruitful than others.

You may have heard of a few natural methods which are starting to become increasingly popular of late, one of which was tried by a family member. We were all really pleased to see very favourable results over a long term and so its something I thought I would mention in the hope that you may find it beneficial.

After a lot of internet trawling I came across one site that appears to be a very safe source of reliable information as it provides a comparison and review of natural eczema treatments (www.doctorzreview.co.uk). I really hope this is somewhat useful!

Best of luck!
