Migraine, or something else?

The other night, I felt like my head was in a vise. I had chills and sweats. I thought it was subsiding yesterday during the day, but at night I had the same head feeling, and threw up. Not too much better today, and when I take a step, it feels like someone punched me in the chest.

I've had similar headaches before, but not the other symptoms. Anyone know what this may be?

Take Dr. Pris's advise and don't take my advise. Call the doctor. This could be minor or it could be very serious. I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for someone not heeding the warnings by pooh poohing your symptoms.

Headaches like that could be migraines or they could be lots of other things including high blood pressure. Only a Doctor can tell you for sure and this is serious enough to get on the phone immediately. Call your Doctor you need this checked out.

My migraines got much worse during perimenopause. Then after that, they improved alot. I would only have the auro, and very little headache. Now, 5 years after having no periods, I seem to be developing episodic intense Vertigo. I have it for a couple days, along with the ill-feelings and fatigue that I would get with migraines. Anyone else have their migraines turn into vertigo spells?

looks like you have a heck of a harvest there.. and it is sept... do you really think it time to treat the plants for bugs ....??? i realize knowledge is power and all that.. but the quest for such need not result in treatment ... keep looking... eventually you will find it ... and if you do.. lay them on the sidewalk.. and the birds will fly them away for you ... ken

I like the print as well. The size seems right for that space. Do you love it? That's kind of my personal criteria for what gets hung on my walls -- I have to love it and enjoy looking at it every day, instead of simply being a "wall filler" that "goes with" other elements in my rooms. Unfortunately (or fortunately? depends how you look at it), I tend to love a lot of different things and it's hard for me to edit the art that I display - so I tend to have very full walls. Anyway, I encourage you to choose whatever makes your heart sing.

Hi Dave - it has been a wet summer and fall, moreso than usual. I'm actually concerned they get too much water as my neighbors sprinklers system hits them, and at times this spring and fall he was watering every single day because of grass seeding. So I was worried about chlorosis (plus he uses well water, don't know if it's acidic or alkaline). I was also worried maybe about a root rot. I remember from past posts you also have red oak leaf hollies. Have yours ever done this? Your beautiful specimens are what helped make.ne decide to get these. They're in the ground for 3 seasons now and had been doing great until this season. I can get some pictures of the undersides of the leaves.

Definitely see a doctor, immediately. A sudden, severe, new type of headache should always be investigated. What if it were something like meningitis?

If you've had migraines before, then you know that the severe headache is normal, as is the nausea and throwing up, but not the rest of your symptoms. Do see the doctor.
