Anethesia-Flu-like Systems As a Side Effect?
Comments (3)scarab- do you by chance smoke and what type of procedure are you getting done? I had to have a root canal done on a molar, at the time I was a smoker. The anesthesia was not as effective because I was a smoker so I required more injections and had to have some during the procedure. But I also felt exhausted and congested for about 3 days after. I went 3 times for one root canal and it happened each time. Dentist explained that the congestion was a result of the procedure and because of the depth he had to go it was irritating the sinus cavity. He said some people have can have runny noses, bleeding, or congestion....See MoreSide effects are affecting me, I think...
Comments (7)The most important sexual organ is the brain... Remember what anticipation and your imagination did for you before you were married? That's the opposite of what your "thinking brain" is doing to you now. Now, you're thinking about it and worried about it, and anticipating a let-down, not an incredible loving experience. Your brain is getting in the way of your body, and your body is still inexperienced and learning. Talking to your doctor about switching methods of birth control is a good step, but above that, don't think about "the problem" so much. Thinking about it will magnify it, not solve it. Next time you and your husband have the right opportunity, try putting on some romantic music, light a few candles, then turn your brain off. Talk with your husband about pleasant, lightweight things until any worries in the back of your head are gone. While you're talking, enjoy looking at your husband, and appreciate all of the attractive qualities he has that make you tingle. You want to re-build the emotional intimacy before even starting on the physical intimacy. Once you're both relaxed, concentrate on your feelings -- the texture of his skin, the sensations on yours. Take what's feeling good to you and really experience that. Feel, rather than think about, the experience, and let your body, not your brain, guide you. It may also help to tune some of your senses out (listening to the music, visualizing colors or textures) and some of your senses in (his touch, smell of his skin). But above all, don't involve the thinking, rational part of your brain past the part where you decide "yes"....See MoreAllegra D side effects
Comments (19)Ravencajun, I am so sorry that you had that bad experience. The doctor told me to get Afrin because it helps with the nosebleed. I use it as directed, only when my nose is bleeding. It helps to slow down the flow of blood. What I don't enjoy is standing over the bathroom sink watching my blood run down the sink in a river. That scares the bejeesus out of me and makes me feel weak in the knees. Worse is trying to tilt my head back because I gag on the blood that goes down my throat. I spray with Afrin and put the nose clamp on for an hour to stop it. I'm really not a nasal spray person, I understand the risk of nasal spray addictions and usually only use saline spray or very occasionally Flonase. The first thing that happened when I got into Urgent Care was that they sprayed my nasal passages with oxymetazoline hydrochloride to try to stop the bleeding that had at that time been going on for 6 hours and was really frightening my husband and me. We were afraid that I was going to bleed to death. I promise that once this now intermittent bleeding stops, I will throw out the Afrin, I'm only using it when the bleed kicks up. Sometimes, just showering or slipping a clean shirt on is causing my nose to bleed. It starts bleeding when I am asleep. It's scary to me since I've never experienced this in the past. It is really hard to not blow the clots from my nose, but I don't dare....See Morehow can I level uneven flooring without taking off my tiles?
Comments (17)Good news. But the situation with the leveling is still there. If you wish to leave the tiles there, you will have to put some money and muscle and rented machines into this. It will probably take 2-3 days longer than if you hammered out the tiles. But if you insist, here are the list of instructions: 1. Rent sanding machine and purchase pads/belts for stone/concrete/tile 2. Tent off the kitchen with plastic sheeting; as well as air vents to prevent dust from getting into the ducts 3. Sand/rough up the tile (take the shiny finish off so that the next steps have something to grab on to). 4. With shop-vac, vacuum up the dust created by the sanding; wipe clean with water; allow to dry 5. Purchase primer AND Self Leveling Compound (SLC); make sure the two products are compatible....usually working with the same manufacturer is the way to go. 6. Roll on the primer onto the roughed up surface of the tile 7. Allow to cure (probably 1 day) 8. Mix recommended amount of SLC to cover your tiles in the MEDIUM amount of product allowable (read instructions to find out the MAXIMUM and the MINIMUM thickness and then pick an amount in between) 9. Trowel on or 'float' the cementatious material over the tile...remember to check for 'level' every few minutes (remember: SLC is NOT self-leveling = you will work very hard to keep everything level) 10. Allow to cure (24-48 hrs depending on your manufacturer) 11. Check for level. Mark the 'high' points and begin sanding those areas down 12. Vacuum up excess material; wipe down with lighting damp cloth 13. Allow to dry 14. Begin installing the floor. Whew! If you hire this out, you will pay $2/sf for this type of job. If it is a small kitchen, then you will pay a 'minimum job' fee which could look a bit more like $3-4/sf. If you remove the tiles you will pay $2/sf (same applies above). But the height variance between the two floors will be easier to deal with. You only need to 'lift' the kitchen floor to meet the REST of the house...which is much, much much smaller area to deal with....See Moremarilou
