health insurance???

If this is not the right forum for such a discussion, can anyone direct me to another one? I will be 58 this month and have MEDICARE health insurance, due to disability, not age. DH says I'm not ALLOWED to have additional health insurance until I turn 65. Is that possible? Please advise.

| I don't think that's true, because both my sister and the sister of a good friend are under 65 and receive Medicare because of disability, and both have Medi-gap insurance. |
