Have you had bad Bronchitis before?
Comments (28)Kelly - are you by chance allergic to mold? I don't think I've ever had bronchitis, but I had sinus infections two years in a row. Knock on wood, but I am one who rarely has even a cold. Do take flu shots but dont' think I'm old enough for the pneumonia vaccine yet. Never had pneumonia either tho. My mold allergy got so bad though that I was tested several times for asthma. I don't have it but I was having times of wheezing. After antibiotics and several go rounds with predisone, my ENT said that I had to get my allergies under control. They also put me on singular which is used frequently with mold allergies (which apparently affects bronchial tubes). An inhaled cortinsone, an antihistime, an inhaled antihistimine and singular. I am happy to report that I am now on maintanance allergy shots and am taking meds only as needed (not often). My ENT and allergist love mucinex - it has been around for years in Robitusin. It thins mucus, making it easier to get it out. I'd really suggest to anyone having recurring bouts of bronchitis, sinus infections, etc. to see an allergist. It's made all the difference in the world for me. I'm a person who hates taking meds and especially antibiotics. Predisone has some very nasty side effects - you don't want to be taking it long term or often unless absolutely necessary. tina...See MoreBathroom Tile Help New Construction
Comments (91)Finally! We heard from the builder and they are going to reimburse us for the cost to demo and rebuild the shower. Thank goodness... lol I swear this shower is cursed...we brought in a new team (not affiliated with the builder) to remodel our whole bathroom (install new floor, new fixtures, re-install shower and tub)...and what do you know the contractor installed our paper faced tiles backwards...it is literally a comedy show at this point - we stopped him in his tracks he will not be returning and will be reimbursing us for the tiles and the sub par tile job all over and the remainder of work that is still to be completed - told us, well this is our best work, so with us this is what you get...so onto a new contractor......See MoreCT scan this morning
Comments (19)Pawprint "They warned me it would feel like I peed my pants. But really my whole body got so warm that I can see someone thinking a warm feeling down there could be urine. It was an all over toasty feeling. Not like sweating. A heat from the inside out. Odd." Yes, odd indeed! They neglected to warn me about all of those odd sensations! When the guy came in to take out the IV, I told him that it would be really thoughtful if they would let patients know what to expect. He said, "Oh I always let people know they're going to think they peed! I guess he forgot to tell you. You can check if you want to, but I guarantee, you didn't."...See MoreWhat will aid clogged sinus?
Comments (34)I grew up using Vicks on my lips and under my nose when I went to bed. Used it on our chest when we had upper respiratory issues and on our throats for sore throats. I still do use it on the lips, I've never experienced chapped lips. My husband wont use it so we have turned to the essential oils. I use them for many things but he recently had the beginnings of an upper respiratory infection/sinus issues. We went to the oils. In the diffuser I use Eucalyptus and peppermint. We both sleep well and he feels much better. I also use a steam treatment where I boil a cup of water and add 3 drops of Eucalyptus and peppermint. Breathe it in under a towel and that opens you up right away. We are trying to get away from the chemicals when possible....See Morelindac
