A sensitive question about....hemorrhoid banding
Comments (11)Okay, I know this is going to sound too good to be true, but I swear on my daughter's life it is true. My husband suffered something fierce from hemorroids for years, had all sorts of procedures done, including surgery. Nothing helped, they kept coming back and he was totally miserable. Then at a ladies meeting, we got to talking about medical conditions and I mentioned his predicament. Well one lady came over and said to try Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Apply it a couple times a day on the hemorroids to obtain relief. I am here to tell you it worked !! Within a week, he had nearly complete relief. And within a month, it was as if he never had them at all. My DIL mother had them really bad too and now is using the EVOO as well with wonderful results. Try it, it's inexpensive and might save y'all a lot of pain and grief. Helen...See MoreHemorrhoids.....a first for me!
Comments (16)rhizo. My hemorrhoids were protruding....sticking out...which is very painful when walking or sitting. I had an appointment with a hemorrhoid specialist but that appointment was months away and none of the over the counter preparations were helping me at all. I think I bought every preparation the drugstores had. Upon reading all the labels of ingredients in each, the common ingredient was camphorated oil. I remember my mom having a bottle of that oil. I believe it was used to dry up cold sores and probably had other uses too. I went to the drugstore and purchased a bottle of camphorated oil, put some on my finger and coated those protruding hemmies, then with my finger I shoved them back up inside of me. Believe me when I say it really, really burned, but it did cure them. I kept the appointment and when that doctor examined me, he could not find a trace of any hemorrhoids at all. He asked, "Are you sure you had them?" Oh yes I "had" them. I didn't have the heart to tell him how I cured them....See MoreDo you use coconut oil?
Comments (27)I like coconut oil to moisturize lips, skin, hair, stir fry veggies, make curries, and husband uses it to pop popcorn. From what I've read, the problematic fats are the ones which are partially hydrogenated (trans fats) and, according to medical research, cause all kinds of health issues. They were widely used in prepared foods, but the FDA banned them a few years ago and many companies have replaced them with other oils....See MoreGetting old in Florida
