Oh! You got Diamond Black granite...I'm jealous! By the time I was ready for my counters the quarry had run out of it and I now have AB Premium instead. It does have some of the silver inclusions the Diamond Black has but not as many or as noticeable. So, your BS...is the color change w/both natural & artificial light? I would try Steff's idea of adding the violet and mixing a batch. Is the paint inexpensive enough that you could mix a batch for the entire job & then test it? (I'm concerned that if you get the perfect color again and it works you won't be able to reproduce it!) I think the only thing you can do is try different mixes & finishes and see what you can come up with. To get the best effect, test on large areas, though, not small. BTW...welcome back! I remember you from 2007 when I first joined GW & started on my remodel.

I grow Gentle Hermione in a much colder climate, this will be her third year in my garden. I'm also not very happy with the repeat bloom, it may be the worst among my Austin roses. I hope it improves with time, as I do love the delicate blooms, and the fragrance. It's also remarkably hardy. My shrub is much smaller, but it also produced a very long cane in the first year. I pegged it in the following spring and it bloomed beautifully along the cane.

Mark, absolutely but keep in mind that my garden looks the best only around mid to late April and late November, and if the weather and insects don't ruin it lol. This spring my garden is inferior when compared to last year because of the sub 20 degree that we had and the thrips...

Very lovely, as usual Hoang Ton:-) Your roses are always so healthy! I think we talked last year about how shocked I was that my Molineux was so very tall. I was expecting Molineux to be a smaller plant. I do love it, even though it’s bigger that expected and the blooms don’t make good cut flowers. BenT, mine is in bloom right now and it’s very colorful each bloom is saturated with colors. I do sometimes get that pale yellow, but I enjoy seeing what Molineux will do each flush. Life of the Party has been one that I’ve been eyeing for a while. It’s just that I don’t trust it to stay compact. It probably really would be the “Life of the Party“ in my garden. With my climate it would probably grow enormous and its new name would be something like “Raging Wild Party”. Thanks for the pictures and videos! I do enjoy them so. Lisa
