Thanks, mazer. Money is not a problem, fortunately. The vet saw her again, this time right during one of her 'episodes'. She says everything points to brain lesion or tumor, and what I am seeing are seizures. I had no idea they could be so mild or last so long. By mild I mean that Taco doesn't have classic seizures, she just suddenly stops and stares like she has no idea where she is. Then she's very stumbly for 30 - 45 minutes afterwards. The vet said the seizure itself is usually short, but the after effects can last hours. She prescribed a low dose of phenobarbital, which is supposed to help control the seizures. I hope so. It's so hard watching her. I'm sure she is so scared and confused. At least she is not in pain. She had mentioned brain tumor or lesion before, but I don't remember a particular discussion about those things causing seizures. She took blood again to do a full panel, including thyroid. Here's another ODD thing: I got home and Taco was still quite unsteady, probably still the seizure's after effects, plus the pheno. Someone came to the door, and she was up and off like a shot, like nothing was wrong with her. After she determined the person did not represent immediate danger, nor did they have any treats, she gradually went back to being unsteady. Maybe she got a little shot of adrenaline?

I am out in the g'houses working on spring orders. Yesterday was sunny, so it hit a hundred degrees in there and I had to vent it out a bit. Haven't been doing a lot of sewing this weekend, trying to catch up on other stuff so I can get a block of time to quilt, uninterrupted. Ha! Like that ever happens. I am pulling out a wonky pinwheel baby quilt each morning at the kitchen counter with my cuppa and finishing up the last rows of hand quilting the blocks just so I get a little done on it regularly and not wait until the last minute before the baby comes to marathon. Today, when hubby is at church, I did another couple patchwork blocks for a big quilt I am making to use up scraps. It hangs on the design wall and grows a little whenever I have some time to work on it and I am not letting it 'get to me' as I sometimes do when a quilt is in progress. It has a lot of blocks and it'll get done when it gets done.

Gazania..they started him on antibiotics almost as soon as he got to the ER (once they determined he had bronchitis)on Nov.25 and he was on it until he was dismissed on Nov.29th. He was also on steroids while going through the Chemo. His last Chemo was Nov.12th. I'm assuming they gave it to him while giving the Chemo, because he wasn't taking anything at home. His feet actually got a little puffy on Friday BEFORE he went back to the hospital (He went in for blood transfusion on Nov.20th and was dismissed on on Thanksgiving Day.) I called the Dr. the next day (Sat.25th) and told him his feet were swelling. He phoned in a water pill. He took one that night..and the next day. They also gave it to him while he was IN the hospital...but discontinued it when he was dismissed.
