Humidifiers? What to look for?

Posted by Don_na_na (My Page) on

I have been told that running a humidifier would help my breathing problems. When I went to buy one, there were so many different kinds that I didn't know what to get. Since this is going to be an investment for my health, I thought this was a good place to ask for advice. What are some of the features I should look for when purchasing a humidifier? Warm Mist or Cool Mist? What does evaporative mean? Any help that you can give me will be greatly appreciated? Thanks in advance.

The evaorative are best.....the cool mist ones can emit droplets so small that they can remain suspended in the air for a long time....and you can inhale chemicals that are in the water deep into your lungs. They leave a ring of dry white dust around them after running for a week or so.
But....whatever you get be sure to keep it clean....they can be a major source of mold allergins and bacteria growth.
