My Brother was just told his problem he is having is shingles and I was wondering if someone could give some feedback on what to expect and any treatment that would help. He is getting them on his face and inside his mouth and he said it is so painful. Please help!!

Has he seen the doctor. I don't know of anything that will help but a prescription from a doctor. My advice would be to go.

Shingles are very painful and are nothing to fool around with. They are caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox.

On another posting I mentioned that people that have used Zostrix on the eruptions have found it helps with the pain. Have to be careful though as it contains capsaicin which is the 'heat' in chili peppers so keepaway from the eyes & mouth! I find it also helps to rub on arthritic joints too.

Wow, that looks like a Dagwood sandwich. 3 layers not even allowed, and has tied your roofer's hands in how they can transition the new roof. I agree with them putting a temporary metal valley to keep water from flowing under/into those 3 layers. However, not sure on the angle of the upper valley and a little sloppy on the cutback and should have more space between the edge of shingle and valley bend. It's a good thing your roofer didn't glop on asphalt sealant which many would rely on.

I prefer the Weathered Wood sample you show to the charcoal. It seems like it would look nice with the brick. You may eventually need to address the fact that the finishes on the upper floor are cooler than the roof and brick, and a different color might work better. But the mismatch is small enough to leave alone meantime. As for trim, I might wait until the roof is in. Darker trim could look nice, but you might decide to wait. Here are a couple of mockups that might help.
