Why not try to remove the tent for half a day and see which of the plants gets drooping leaves. Those that don't get their leaves droop are candidates for moving out of the tent and allow some extra time to the rest and if one or two are left that need to be in the tent then arrange a plastic bag over them or put inside a plastic bag.. I just had one plant where the leaves would get droopy in a few minutes when I would open the cover from the rooting bins to air it to reduce humidity and get fresh air in. I placed this one in a plastic bag dome, created humidity and closed the bag at the top and the leaves did not droop so far in more than three hours.

I do not know how long blackspot takes to mutate. I am more familar with people getting a new race (variant, pathotype) of blackspot when they purchase an already diseased rose with a different race (varient, pathotype) of blackspot. As I'm wiping my tears away, I have to say you pull my heart strings. I lost my mother two years ago to cancer. Sometimes I wonder to myself if it would have been easier to let her go to a sudden death, instead of living through each day, feeling totally and absolutely helpless, forced to watch her slowly lose the sparkle in her eye, until one day it's no longer there. I know in my heart that no matter the loss, it's the same, and no matter how many ways or times I could have said goodbye, I was never prepared for it. I never would have been. For the longest time, events would occur in my life, and my first thought would be to call my mother. But she isn't there anymore. It's an awful feeling to have to remind yourself of that. It's heart wrenching, and nobody could ever know the feeling of losing your mother until you've actually experienced it. There's something about the bond between a mother and child that just can't be compared. Fathers are special as are all family members and loved ones, but nothing could ever replace the void that was my mother. I miss my mumma, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I felt the loss for the past two years, but I've only now just begun to cry. Like you, I've been fighting back the tears. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you for sharing your story, Gayle. You were very brave to get out of that relationship. It must not have been easy. What you are saying makes sense to me. Stuff has a way of exerting control; of owning its owner, if we let it. I have sometimes used the idea of the Amish as an ideal. Some of the things they do don't make sense to me, but the general idea is that they live without many of the things that we take for granted, such as telephones in the home, electric devices, and other trappings of civilization. So I have distilled down their idea. If a technology stands in the way of happiness, then I can live without it. (Your short essay has helped me to see how I have expanded the idea of "do without' to include the layer of unneeded stuff that seems to coat many people's lives in an obscure grunge.) I make little efforts to simplify my life, even if it means a bit of inconvenience. I'd rather have a little inconvenience than be at the beck and call of a technology or possession or any other inanimate object that has the potential to rule my life. My happiness is so much more important then the illusion of security created by an insulating blanket of stuff. I hope that you are able to find a new balance in your life. Like you said, you'd rather fill your mind with happy things. That is a good goal for any of us.
