Lump in my neck

Posted by cheerful1 (My Page) on

I woke up this morning with a pea-size lump on the left side of my neck that hurts when I touch it. I've been having sinus congestion and headache lately, so I wonder if it's all related.

I'm seeing my radiologist on Monday for another matter, so I'll bring it up to him then, but I'm open to opinions.

That sounds like a lymph gland doing what it is supposed to do. If you've been having sinus trouble i'll bet you have an infection. I'd get to a doctor and get an antibiotic.
Lymph glands are all over your body, and there are quite a few in the neck area. When you have an infection anywhere the lymph glands try to rid the body of the infection and gather it in, so they swell.

Yup, lymph nodes doing their job. I get that all the time.

probably lymph nodes, but for my friend, it was tonsil cancer. I know that sounds weird, but that's what it was. He was treated and is fine now.
