No regrets what-so-ever. As it was, I was poised to buy the Sony Bravia but I felt that the picture was not as good. It actually looked blurry to me. Again, this is my own personal opinion. Additionally, the Bravia is more $$. Two of my other TV's are Sony Trinitrons and they have been very good to me. I'll make one more suggestion. A lot of times these big electronic chains will let last years model go a lot cheaper than the brand new model. Sometimes the only difference between this years and last years model is the contrast ratio. While it is true that the higher the contrast ratio the better your picture, sometimes the difference is something like 6000:1 vs. 7000:1. Again, I'll bet most people will be hard pressed to see the difference..especailly for a thousand dollars. Please remember, this is my own opinion. If you do go after a left over model, make sure it has all the features you were looking for in a brand new model. You have a tough decision to make. Will there be a gaming system, like Playstation, hooked up to the TV? Will there be anyone who will leave a static picture on the set for a really really long time? Will the set be kept in a room that is bright most of the time? If you answered yes to all these questions, then you'd be better off with a LCD. If not, then you'll be able to get a bigger screen for a lot less if you go with plasma. One other thing. How far away will you be viewing the TV from? Most people think thas getting a gigantic set and plopping themselves down three feet from the screen will give them a movie theater like experience..buzzzzzz, wrong. The only thing it will do is first give you a headache and then make you angry because the picture will look like a million little boxes. In any case, LCD's look less boxy close up. Again, see these things for yourself when you go looking. By the way, you're not a pest. ;-)

Pretty much anything in the $3 a square foot range up will be decent quality. You want nylon or smartstrand. For a bedroom, nothing beats a plush for comfort under foot. It feels exactly like it sounds, like plush velvet on your bare feet. But, if seeing your footprints or vacuum tracks bothers you, maybe a plush isn't for you. Maybe you'd want a frieze, which is a short shag. But, you walk on the sides of the fibers on a frieze, so it won't be as durable as with a plush where you walk on the ends of the strands. However, it will hide traffic paths more, and can also feel soft because of the bulk of the yard. All carpet these days has built in stain protection except for the very cheapest, so don't let something like that in a "name" deter you from buying what feels and looks best to you. As with anything, take it home and see how it feels underfoot to you. Or, you could do the matching wood (did you ever get that project done?) in the bedrooms (selling upgrade) and have a really nice wool carpet edgebound to be a large area rug underneath. You get the benefit of taking the rug with you at selling time then.

Hello Donna, Lana and Lydia.. Yeah...not so small any more..Kamren passed me in Jan..and just kept right on adding more inches.. Kian will actually end up the "smallest". He wears Kellan's out grown shoes.. Kellan has bigger feet, but Kian still has about an inch and a half on him. But at just 16 Kellan has a bit more height to put on. Now Kamren..is the size the other two were around their mid-end Sophomore years..and is going into the 8th grade..

s_c, describing the ending as "forced and hurried" pretty much sums up my thoughts also. I went back and forth about whom might the villain be--Ben, her doctor, possibly noone at all if the ultimate twist was Claire had more issues than just memory loss. :) I think the ending was weak and parts did get repetitive although that might have been the writer's intent since that daily repetition was key to the storyline. It bothered me the way the character of Mike just suddenly flattened out and cracked in comparision to how calm and in control he was in most of the book. Good first try, would have been better with a more thoughtful ending. I've been reading more of these twisty psychological thrillers lately than I'm proud to admit.. but this book reminded me of the Nicci French books I've read, also maybe Lisa Unger. If you need something light and fluffy after your move (exhausting?) What Alice Forgot is another memory loss novel in the chick lit vein. Good luck with the unpacking--that part takes me eons.
