| I lost my furbaby EKO (pronounced ECHO) on August 25th. He was 19 and the sweetest black cat. The university I work for has a writing contest every year so I wrote and submitted this poem.
ECHOES
Like a witches call on the spirit wind your voice echoes unto me,
The golden green of your eyes echo. Like the forests turning from Spring to Fall
The darkness of night echoes color unto my mind’s eye,
The gentleness of your touch echoes through my soul,
The empty rooms- forever still – echo sounds of a heartbeat,
Your spirit echoes – like a never ending dance.
Another day passes – taking with it the sights and sounds,

| That is lovely. "Your spirit echoes – like a never ending dance. It stays with me – forever pirouetting across space and time" I swear that sometimes I catch a glimpse of loved furbabies running into the other room. |
