| OUR SON JEFF PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT; HE WAS ONLY 40 YEARS OLD.
HE LOVED US ALL AS WE DID HIM AND NOW THE WORLD SEEMS SO COLD THE SUN CAME UP THIS MORNING TO START ANOTHER DAY
WE PRAY TO GOD FOR STRENGTH EACH DAY, BUT GOD SEEMS FAR AWAY
EVERYONE TELLS US HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN
IN THE DARKNESS WE WALK EACH DAY WITH THE COLD WINDS OF DESPAIR THAT BLOW
WE KNOW GOD HAS PROMISES AND ON THOSE WE CAN DEPEND
IT SEEMS LIKE AN ETERNITY BUT YET ONLY YESTERDAY
I AM SORRY WE ARE ANGRY BUT PLEASE KNOW IT IS NOT AT YOU
I WILL CLOSE THIS NOW MY SPECIAL SON THE OLDEST OF OUR THREE
WE LOVE YOU JEFF OUR WONDERFUL SON, AND VERY SPECIAL YOU NG MAN 10/30/06

| I am so sorry for your loss and I see how very much you have been hurting. Your poem is a wonderful expression of all of your pain. It shows how very deep your pain, yet your love as well has been. That's the thing. The more we love, the deeper the pain is with our loss. But it's better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all don't you think? It sounds like you have a wonderful family and Jeff was such a good son. And what loving parents you are too. Hugs to you during this time. Thank you for sharing. Joanie |

| George, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your precious son. I too know the pain of losing a child. It is a pain that will always be with you. Be good to yourself and grieve the way you need to and for as long as you need to. The poem is a beautiful tribute to your son and shows the love that you have for him. You will always love him. He will never leave your heart. He will be with you still, even though you can't see him. When we first lost my 19 year old daughter, I felt that she was with me more than ever. In life, she was with me physically sometimes. When she became a spirit, she was with me always and still is. I know that I will see her again someday. That's my only consolation. I think of her being on a long, beautiful, happy vacation and I will meet her later. You may want to meet my daughter who knows your son now. Bless you. Lu |

| George, I am so very sorry for you and your family. We lost our eldest son 3 years ago, suddenly, and he would have been forty a couple of weeks ago. Your poem is beautiful; it's clear that you love and miss him very much. If it would help you to tell this forum about your son, you'd have many willing listeners. It may help; I know it helped me. You'll never get over losing your boy, but time will make things more bearable. He'll always be with you and in your heart. Take care...my very sincerest sympathies. |
