Does anyone know where I can get a car magnet that says "I Have A Son In Heaven"? My hair dresser was given one because her son died last fall. She told me about it yesterday, but can't remember where the lady got it. She knew that I would like one, since I also lost a son. It's my understanding that they have them for daughter's, mother's, father's etc. I am serching the internet but so far have not come up with anything. They are in the shape of a crossed ribbon and have a halo and wings on them. Vique.

Actually many of the old roses are quite bad for black spot-- most of the long-caned Bourbons and Hybrid Perpetuals are as bad as, or worse than, the average Hybrid Tea. As soon as people started selecting seedlings for better or more unusual flowers, rather than self-sufficiency, disease resistance declined. Modern breeders do pay some attention to disease resistance, but major American breeders are basically selecting roses for the California climate. Or, David Austin Sr. admitted that quality of bloom and growth habit took precedence over disease resistance. Some of his are not so bad, though, and there is a trend of improvement in the disease resistance of Austin''s releases. Many of the shrub roses bred by Kordes and Meilland in Europe have good resistance, as do some of the Griffith Buck roses, John Clements roses, and Ag Canada releases. In your climate you should consider the old Alba and Gallica roses and old rambers, which are easy to grow and make a tremendous show in the long first flush, which fills a good part of your growing season.

I just checked the Franke 3/4 hp batch feed (#FWD75B) user manual from the Franke website. According to the instructions on page 7, it looks to be non-magnetic. You can look up the Insinkerator's manual yourself. I don't know about the Barclay sink. I recall some threads regarding some brands' fireclay sinks that needed a longer flange due to the thickness of the fireclay. Others don't. Anyway, these flanges are easily found. Of greater concern with a fireclay sink is that you don't over-tighten on the disposal cause you could get crazing. I've had this Delta for 10 years or so and it uses the weight. Properly set and adjusted it works the same as the day it was new. Had a minor problem and Delta was kinda of a PITA to deal with cause the CSR had poor product knowledge so hard to explain what I needed and she wouldn't escalate to a supervisor but I've read that lots of people are real happy with Delta customer service. For products that are meant to last a long time I'm disappointed that some commonly needed Delta parts are NLA for other Delta fixtures I have that aren't really all that old but I guess that is the way it is today... just buy a complete new one for $75 when a $2 gasket would resolve the problem. We started buying travel magnets the late 90s as a joke. I purchased two framed magnetic boards and spray painted. They have been displayed 1) basement stairway landing, 2) MBR closet, 3) DH's workout clothes closet and 4) currently in coat closet. They remind us of family trips and International travels. Lots of great memories.

I saw some of the others you mentioned (daughter, etc.) on e-bay, so if you cannot find them let me know and I'll see if I can find them again.

These may be available in some stores, but I don't know where.

I just have to know how you got that on e-bay. When I was looking, I googled, yahood and e-bayed and couldn't find anything like what I wanted. I used magnet, I used I have a son in heaven magnet, I used I have a son in heaven, I used car magnet, then I did the other ones and added car magnet, nothing. Every time I look at it, I will not only remember Brian, I will also remember the person who found the ribbon for me. Thanks again, Vique.

At ebay.com type in "son in heaven magnet" That magnet should come up.

Over to the right of the magnet it shows the store name is Robie Foundation. Click that and it will take you to all the magnets they have.
