I couldn't figure out how to attach a picture in here but I made a quick webpage so you all can see my precious little boy. I miss him so very much. Thank you all for being here to talk.

He's so adorable... what a handsome young man. Your story resonates so deeply with me ... water never seemed so dangerous, before. To lose one so very, very young.... how terrible, for you, I can only imagine your intense pain. I've shed a tear for your poor little guy. What an angelic face....

He is so precious. I'm so sorry. My heart really does hurt so much for you.
If often thought of what it would have been like if I had lost Chris at a very tender age as Bryce. I don't think the pain would have been greater, but maybe different, since at that age they are so dependent on their moms.
The poem is beautiful and so true.
Life is so hard to live now, but it will get better. I promise you. You will see your precious little boy again.
Until then, keep his little spirit in your heart and let God hold him in his arms.

There IS hope then! LOL I too have a half of leaf (and also a whole one)of Kalanchoe orgyalis in a pot! The whole leaf has roots coming out of the end, I knew that one will eventually do something. The half of leaf I wasn't so sure, but its in the soil and seems pretty secure! Thanks for the picture Cactus Mcharris!

Amazing how someone brand new to these forums decides to come in and attempt to regulate what can or can't be said here! First, this is not intended to be a "help" forum but rather one for discussion of professional topics of interest to green industry professionals. So someone - a nonprofessional - came in to ask advice of a professional and that advice was generously given. What is objectionable is the way that advice was summarily dismissed by the OP as "bad" - and rather rudely so - based on other information they subsequently discovered. Neither advice is bad. Sure the OP could bolt together the torn branch if they wanted to.......it was only pointed out that this was unlikely to be as easy or as successful - based on the extensive amount of damage and the time delay - as the video alluded. It has nothing to with egos but everything to do with common courtesy and politeness. I feel no need to exercise any 'humility' with regards to offering advice I have spent dozens of years accumulating working as a horticultural professional. If the OP didn't like the advice, he didn't have to follow it - his choice. But to come back and rudely and incorrectly state the advice was "bad" and pretty much imply that I didn't know what I was talking about based on his a viewing a single video, then claim - based on this extremely limited knowledge - that the video was the only "right" way was offensive.

Sorry, yes, LeAudra is my niece, my brother's child. I've never had children; she was the first of all the nieces and nephews and has always been "my special baby." Of course, now that's there's 12 of them, all the neieces and nephews are "my special babies," but she's my special first-born girl, just as Christopher is my special first-born boy. I'm very fortunate that her mother, my SIL, has always "shared" and let her visit whenever I wanted. She spent most of every summer, from age one until she was 16, with me.

They look great so far! I hope you get at least one purple from your first group. The percentages I'm told are very low on purples but you might get lucky. Might also not bloom with much if any purple in the first flowers so you may need to hold onto those and let them mature a while before you cull. Like you I also got one here or there with yellow leaves and dwarfed. I also have several tiny fat seedlings with very petite leaves - they also branch nicely and are among some of my favorites. They are mostly my Kiseki seedlings but some are other things. Keep up the excellent growing. They look healthy.

What a beautiful little boy. I'm so sorry for you. Please know he is in heaven and is doing great with our Lord. And know that although he was little, he would not want you to be miserable. His spirit will live on in you as you talk about him and keep him near to you. I will pray for you.

Thank you all for your comments. He was so precious to us, our pride and joy. Knowing I will see him again one day is what keeps me going until then. He will always have a place in my heart. I'm so proud of him for what he's allowed me to feel. I never thought one person could change my entire perspective on life.

Bryce is so cute. So Cherubic. I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you may be feeling. It's not been that long since he has left this earth.. your pain is so intense.. I pray for you and little Bryce. Bless you and I will remember your lil Bryce in my prayers.
