| Although I am grieving for one who has been part of my life for over 60 years, the post is for my dearest friend, her daughter who needs to know about her sweet Mother's SS check.
The Mother passed away last night (April 1, 2006) and her Social Secuirty Check will be in the mailbox tomorrow...it is to be returned to SSA, right? Not thinking clearly right now, and can't remember if they pay a month ahead or one behind. Thanks for your help. Suzi

| Unfortunately, I can answer this. My mom died March 31 last year, and I was told by my accountant and attorney that if she'd lived until April 1, she could have kept April's check. Sadly, we sent her check back (3x!) I took it to the PO twice...it kept coming back to her address. I'm sorry for your friend's loss. |
