grieving

I divorced my husband 12 years ago. We had 2 sons. Both were grown & married. For whatever reason, they decided not to be in my life anymore. I remarried 1 yr after the divorce & feel that that is part of the reason. My youngest son suddenly died on Jan 3 of this year & I had to find out about it on the internet. No one ever contacted me to let me know that he was sick & that he had died. I am having a difficult time getting past the fact that the first time I was allowed to see him in 12 years was in his coffin. It was cruel & uncalled for. I don,t seem to be able to get past it. Can someone help me? Pam

That is a tough thing to deal with. I am so sorry for your loss.

It is very early days, though, I think it would be helpful for you to talk to a grief counsellor about your feelings.

At this point you really need sympathy and daily strength. I hope you have somebody to take care of you.

It's too hard a situation to cope with by yourself. I hope you can see a professional for help, I know I'm going to have to do that.
I'm very sorry that you couldn't see your son before, no mom should go through that. It is too cruel indeed, if you can share your feelings with someone, don't be alone with this and take care of yourself.
