That is an Areca PALM. Container plants should be watered thoroughly each and every time you water....enough so that the entire volume of potting mix and root system is completely saturated and the excess should drain out rapidly. Then....you wait until the soil becomes somewhat dry again. If you just water certain parts of the pot, then sections of the roots will dry out and die. Now that you know the name of your palm, you can look it up and find out all sorts of information. You might consider, too, posting your question in the Houseplant Forum. Lots of people have questions and concerns about their indoor palms. When your fertilizer comes in, READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE LABEL. I believe that most MiracleGro fertilizers are mixed with water and applied on watering day. But you may have a different kind.

Garden Antiques are old usually 100 years old or older, they can be urns, planters, lions, dogs etc of various materials(think of graveyard in the country which often have such things, angels, dog, cat birds etc)Some garden antiques are old farm equipment such as wheelbarrows, hay wagons,plows,etc, or wagon wheels that can be set against a fence with flowers & rocks with pillar with clay, concrete , brass or other antique container to make an interesting spot in garden. Older the antique more interesting & weather-vanes should be where they can't be easily stolen as some are very pricey. Check E-bay to see if they have Garden Antiques or just Google it in & should get some help otherwise go to Antiques forum,it's in the list at top of this page under "Home Forums" if you don't know value of something you have that is antique they may be able to tell you. Some are dealers. Try Antique Farm Auctions/dealers & see if you can find what you are looking for. The animals & large pots or other containers are quite pricey!

Dear Barbara, In posts futher down in this forum you will find the name of a little girl named Megan. She and her mom and personal friends of mine, and she is also undergoing a bone marrow transplant after several years of unsuccessful chemo treatments for lukemia. We sent her mom materials to get her started on scrapbook making, so she will have a scrapbook to look back on hopefully later if the marrow turns out okay. My best advice is to take at least one class in a scrapbook store near you, if that is not possible then look at a LOT of magazines or internet sites till you see how pages are put together. I will include a link at the bottom of this page that has TONS of sites. I like how your book is sounding already. I would do a page with scanned copies of the photos first and if you like the way it turned out replace the copies with the originals. I would use the picture maker machine for enlarging photos where you wanted to blow up just a section of the original picture. Feel free to post here as often as you need help or email me directly. Hi Belle and thanks for the wb! That's good to know about the flat round brush. I don't have any of those and have been thinking I needed to get some. Your comment about the video reminded me of this video, which shows an even simpler way (though the guy is kind of creepy, IMO): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDm6fIPJRE I used to ink schematics on 30x40 mylar sheets at Boeing, and we had rulers that had cork strips under them, and also ones with slightly elevated metal strips on the sides that do the same thing. I still have them, but never thought about running a paint brush along them. I think they're not high enough, but they worked great with a rapidagraph. You could also tape pennies to the bottom. But I like what that guy does on that video -- so easy! Thanks about the mistakes not being so noticed. I keep reminding myself of that. I'll try not to stay away so long. I just don't do decorative painting as often as many of you. I sort of mix creative projects. I'll make a post showing you the last one I did. ~~ Bebe, I've been reusing the tape like you suggested. Works great until the edges get a little wavy with dried paint... but then, I'm working with latex at the moment just striping the inside sides of the toy box, so it would probably be better with acrylic -- not such quick buildup. Still, I've gotten far more mileage out of my tape than I would have, thanks.
