What Fun!!!!

I am a stay-at home nana and I just wanted the whole world to know that I just became a nana for the second time last Monday night, Aril 1, 2002. A little girl, Elise, weighing 9lbs. 9oz. and 22 inches long. Healthy and doing great. I just love being a nana and it has brought my daughter and I closer than we have ever been. So it has been a double blessing!

Congratulations! Big baby! Sounds like you're a very proud and happy grandma. I have a 3 year old and I would have to say that he's brought us closer to our parents and it's great.

Our daughter has given us two grandchildren...Robbie, 2 1/2 and Anne E. 1 yr. It has been wonderful because they live here. I see them several times a week and we have a great relationship. My son, who lives in another state, has a new daughter; 4 mon. old. I will rarely see them and my daughter-in-law is very protective (as she should be) and I can see that I will not be as close to Ashley Anne....just because distance makes a difference. However, it makes me very sad. My relationship with my Grandma was awesome and I want so much to leave my grandchildren with the same love that she left me. There was nothing else like it!

Hey Lisa...much thanks for taking the time and effort into checking that out for me. I do appreciate it. It looks like I will be waiting for Pineisland to get theirs ready. Erik from PI said for me to check back mid May. I've got the hole already dug for it...like I did for the lychee and mango after that. Nearly lost the mango. I had it in too big a container. When I tried to get it out, there wasn't enough root structure to hold onto the soil. I really expected this plant to have a much better root structure. Very whimpy. Just a few runners extended further down than the small root ball. Ended up snapping some of them. The next day the plant was stressed terribly. Really didn't expect it to recover. It's looking better now. Could have been a costly lesson. Wish now I didn't dig such a huge hole for it!!

My brother & sil found this gift for me - she doesn't craft but loves to go to craft shows in their hometown and has found somed beautiful things to send me! Its a cake pan (sheet cake type) with a solid lid on it. On the lid, the lady had somehow put a lighthouse. It looks like she did it with some kind of dremel ? The whole design is done with tiny holes(hope this is making sense) She also has somehow engraved my whole name on the side of the pan so noone will forget who that pan belongs to if I take it somewhere for a dinner or something. Of course the top of the pan is hunter green just like my kitchen. Also sent me the cutest snowman made out of polymer clay with a bird on his head!! They really put a lot of thought into gifts they send us.

Yikes, I think I would suffer from craft supply withdrawal, if I had to go 60 miles to a Michaels! (Hands trembling a little... nervous twitches...) :-) Well, it doesn't look like you just used what you had on hand-- the wings and lid covers are color-coordinated, etc. And the sparkles on the wings are visible in the photos. This thread is another reminder of what a time in history this is. Everything is impacted by covid. Travel plans include a couple of road trips to see college kids and their sports this winter/spring. One is planning to study abroad in the fall, so I will visit wherever he ends up. I'm also planning a trip to New Orleans to visit a cousin. If Mtn likes snorkeling in Bonaire, I'm heading there, too! No major house renos planned. But I've got 2 furniture projects I need to complete, or else get rid of them. I had a lot of decision fatigue in 2021 regarding my house, and I'm feeling more prepared to just get things done and move on. I'm also considering some changes in my career this year, so that's going to be a primary focus. To all of those expecting new family members and planning weddings, etc., congratulations! And to those with health issues, my best wishes.

I have 2 Grandsons. One whi is 2 1/2 years and a brand new one born on April 25th. I love them both soooo much. It is the greatest thing in the whole world to have Grand children. We just can't get enough of them.
