FWIW I have that 1956 BHG book linked above. There isn't anything like the OP described in it, tho it is a wealth of wonderful vintage goodness & decorating advice. I do collect mid-century decorating books & have a number of them, but have not seen any BHG books like that. Closest thing I have is a 1957 Ladies Home Journal book that details historical & 'contemporary' styles of architecture, furniture, textiles, color schemes, etc., but not an entire page for each. I was told by Home Depot that only the old fan books have the Light Reflective Values. Behr Pebble Stone 750-D LRV is 46.1. The newer Behr color tools include LRV for the colors in the current fandecks, collections. It's the color itself -- Pebble Stone 750-D happens to be a color that you can only find in the older, huge fandeck. Looks like this.

I have a grandson who will be 5 in February. He liked stickers when he was little, but it was usually a peel, stick all over the place and then run off kind of a thing. The peel, stick and done thing hasn’t changed. He was always more into building. He’s into Legos now, and there are all sorts of building kits on various levels that you can buy. You can spend a little or a lot depending on the kit. i didn’t know little kids could get into coding until another mom or grandmother on here mentioned it. There is a treasure trove of information on OGRs on google, specifically google books. It's harder to get into now than it used to be, but the info is there. East coasters and southern rose growers need to (at least) know that Mary C. Rion's Ladies' Southern Florist has excellent chapters on growing roses. Ladies Southern Florist has been in my library since 2008 (a second copy arrived as a Christmas gift from a good friend that winter). Amazon has them used; I willingly paid full price and would again.
