I'm trying to teach my 2 year old granddaughter the pattycake hand game--but I can't remember the words! I searched all over the net and I can't come up with a copy of the words--does anyone know them? TIA

Here's the way we do it: Pattycake pattycake baker's man

You may have had trouble finding the words to this mother goose rhyme because it's actually Pat A Cake. Pat a cake, pat a cake, baker's man

Hi Katalina, Here is a website that has the words to practically every nursery rhyme. http://www.zelo.com/family/nursery/index.htm
|
I know it doesn't always rhyme, but I like to say "Mark it with an A" (or whatever the letter of the child's first name is) and "put it in the oven for Anthony" (or whatever the name) and me. It personalizes it a bit and helps them learn their name.
