Delicate question

I hesitate to post this but I am concerned and so invite your comments. I have an uncomfortable feeling that my GD age 6 is showing signs of a tendency towards lesbianism. Without being specific, she seems to have a rather excessive physical attraction to her sister aged 7. What does one do if anything could or should be done about this? I have mentioned it to the parents. No comment but obvious concern.

Will you love her less if it is so?
There is nothing you can "do" about it....it's just the way it is. Homosexuality can't be cured.
However, I have no idea of the behavior you may be seeing, but be aware that sexual actions of an inappropriate sort in a child of thata ge often is a sign that there is some sort of sexual abuse going on.
So...it's not the lesbian tendency I would worry about....but rather why a 6 year old is engaging in any sort of sexual behavior.

Thank you all for your advice. I think I knew already that would be the answers. My DLs are sending up scapes and many blooms, but the blooms are not as large as last year, One that comes to mind is Siloam Double Classic. Last year it was gorgeous. This year, while there are many blooms they are smaller. We have also been without rain for a long time. We get rain in the areas around us, but we get hardly a mist. I can water because we have a good well, but I am not sure how long to let the sprinkler run at each section, and I read some place to little is worse than none at all. They say plants need an inch of rain a week, but how do you measure what an inch is when sprinkling? I was going to set a pan out in the garden and see how long it takes to get an inch of water accumulated, but wouldn't it make a difference in the size of the container, or would it show properly since the amount of water dropping in to the container would vary in time according to the size of that container? Thank you for the advice and wording. I emailed your replies to DD and she feels much better now. She wanted to convey that she had written them in a timely fashion but was concerned that her MIL might somehow feel blamed. She combined the phrasing from your posts and will personally deliver them to the PO....now she's crossing her fingers that the PO doesn't let her down. She may even follow up with a phone call in 2 weeks. I knew her spirits had lifted when she said to be sure and extend her thank you to all who helped. Thank you - officially.

We looked very seriously at the Miele but went with another because the 30" Miele requires a 30-3/4" wide cutout. With existing cabinets this may become a problem for you. Check carefully.

If the crotch is too high, you can make it lower by stitching in the seam a little deeper using a multiple stitch zig zag and cutting off the original stitching. You don't want to stitch it in deeper in the front or the back, but taper it in around the bottom of the curve, trying to keep the shape of the curve about the same....just deeper. I'd do this a little at a time ...maybe 1/4".... until I got it where it was comfortable. Or you might just want to baste it first to see how it fits. The stitch should look like this as it will have sufficient stretch to work with bathing suit material.

I'm an RN and also have two grandkids (girls, ages 5 & 10). Let me set your mind at ease. Children that age are very uninhibited and will get carried away imitating things on TV, etc. They will kiss and love on each other and if people seemed shocked or they get a fuss raised, then they just laugh and do it all the more. They behave better as they get older. You just need to explain appropriate behavior (sometimes frequently), in the mean time. When the 10 year old was about 5 yrs old, she went through a spell of trying to give any of us(parents, grandparents), a very sexy, dramatic kiss and it took an uncomfortably long time for us to get her to realize that it was inappropriate and unwanted. She would never do that now, but we were a little worried at the time, to be honest. Grandma did not like her granddaughter trying to give her that kind of kiss goodbye! Anyway, at that age, they are likely to experiment some, play doctor or kiss and imitate lovemaking from TV, But it's not abnormal and it stops as they get older, as they are taught appropriate ways of acting.
