Anyone have any suggestions for a group of ladies meeting in Las Vegas around the end of February? Travel tips, places to stay, eat, visit, tour bus trips around the area....any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I lived in Las Vegas for about a year. I'm actually live in Georgia now. Las Vegas is a great place for a get together. There's a lot of new hotels and a lot of sight seeing and gambling to do. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay at night, try the Westward Ho. They have a motel in the back of the casino. It will be a lot cheaper than a lot of the bigger hotels. Also, you won't be spending any time in you hotel except to sleep for a few hours anyways. It is clean and safe too! Don't worry. It's close enough to walk to alot of the big casinos or you can take a bus, either or. If you like a big fancy hotel/casino - try Treasure Island (Pirate theme), MGM (Wizard of Oz), Mirage (tropical),Caesar's Palace (Rome). It's better to stay in the newer part of town, like the above mentioned, I think. There's some nice casions in the old part of town, but you can take a bus down there. Hope this helps.

I took a vacation to Las Vegas this last summer to visit my old stomping grounds. I went through a travel agency. I went on what the called a fun jet vacation package. It included roundtrip airfare and hotel accommidations for 3 nights and 4 days (from Atlanta) for $320.00. What a deal.

We just returned from Vegas on Sunday evening. We were married there 2 years ago. Whatever you do, do NOT reserve your hotel as a part of a air/hotel package. Just purchase the air, and look on the net and call around for hotel, and reserve the hotel on your own. You will get a much better deal. Try www.lasvegas24hours.com.Treasure Island is awesome!! Thats where we stay when we go. I do NOT recommend staying at the Westward Ho. Last I was in the motel/hotel rooms there, it was a dump.
I recommend staying on the south (newer) end of the strip. Anywhere from Treasure Island to Bellagio. There is so much more to do there.
I also recommend taking taxis, rather than renting a car. Traffic in Vegas is AWEFUL, taxi drivers deserve big tips. There are (literally), I think, thousands of taxis in Vegas. You never have to wait for one. Just walk out the front entrance of any hotel, and they are there waiting for you. We took a taxi from the Airport to the hotel and back. And had a taxi bring us downtown and back one night. Sure beats driving in Vegas!!
Things to do:
1-The Star Trek Experience at the Hilton, The Race for Atlantis at Ceasars (buy the combo ticket for these at the Hilton, and you will save $8 per person.)2-Madame Tussaud's at the Venetion-Wax sculptures of famous people. Admission is $13.50 per person and well worth it!! Don't forget your camera.
3-Fremont Street Experience-Down town--(free) -Every hour beginning at dark. Only last a few minutes but is a very interesting show. Different one each hour.
4-Pirate battle at Treasure Island (free)-every 90 minutes beginning at 4 pm-FYI-It will be cancelled if windy. Get there at least 20 minutes early to get a good spot. If you stay at treasure island, you can request a room overlooking the pirate battle. Or a room overlooking the strip has a FABULOUS view at night.
5-The buffet at the RIO. WOW!!!
6-We went to see Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage on Friday night. GREAT show, well worth $100 per person. I recommend that you request a booth seat, which will seat 4 people. If you end up at a table, the tables seat 6, so if there is only 2 of you, you will end up sitting with people you don't know, and if they have big hair, it doesn't work. A table will work if there are 6 of you tho.
If I can think of any more, I will leave another post. Hope you have a great Las Vegas Vacation and GOOD LUCK!!!!
