Just found this forum and thought I'd put out a post, in the unlikely (?) event that someone might be living near me in Holland (near The Hague). I'll be here at least a couple more years, so hope to connect with someone!

Hi Barbara,

Not sure if you're still there but I think I know a teacher who is the the Netherlands. We were in Bahrain together. I keep telling my dh he would like to bike along the canals.

My husband has relatives in Dokkum, Leeuwarden and Lauwersoog (Friesland). Does that count? :P We are planning on visiting them again next summer. Can't wait!

Barbara52,

Are you still there? Yor original post was almost two years ago, so you may have left, or about to.

Had a nice visit in The Netherlands - nearly 50 years ago.

Can't claim another connection, except - I listen to an hour's program from Radio Netherlands Worldwide via the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation at 1:00 in the morning, quite frequently.

A great program, that originates in many worldwide countries. I've lerned a lot from it.

More info available at www.cbc.ca/overnight and ((I think) www.rnw.nl.

joyful guy
